Voters want some health care reform. But a majority of them are pissed off about this giant turd that Congress has drummed up, debated in secret, with all kinds sweetheart deals to gain votes (like Nelson for Nebraska). A bill over 2k pages of difficult to understand language- thats all you need to know that this bill is a giant turd. Most of Congress hasn't read it, won't read it, and don't understand it what they do read.
A majority of the electorate is disillusioned with both Obama and Congress over the continued fiscal irresponsibility. You've had it under Bush with both a republican and democrat congress, and now its just got worse under Obama and a heavy majority democrat congress. Obama and the dems in congress during the last election railed against the republicans about being fiscally irresponsible and pledged that they would bring fiscal responsibility to DC, but look at what they have done.
A majority of the electorate was against the bailouts passed under Bush and a democrat Congress. So what does Congress and Obama do? Continued last year to authorize several hundred billion more in bailouts to AIG, Citi, the Big 3 auto companies, etc.
A majority of the electorate is unhappy with off about a 787 billion so called stimulus bill that Congress passed and Obama signed into law, that hasn't done squat to lower unemployment, and is going to add further to burying us under a mountain of debt.
This past year congress passed 2 omnibus spending bills pertaining to non defense/homeland security domestic spending, still stuffed with thousands of pork earmarks, that increased spending over 24% from 08' to 2010 levels, at a time when there is little to no inflation, at a time when Congress should have been holding the line on domestic spending. Unfu**in believeable!
