I just can't believe someone would publicly talk about an Island tipping over because too many people are on it and be serious. It just can't be.

Nah man, he's district 4... I'm district 10. Plus, switching my vote to the Repub party or other candidate in district 4 would be much like any vote I'd think of casting for a Dem in my local.... futile.

At least gerrymandering in the Georgia 10th served the useful purpose of placing a whole bunch of idiots in one district. Maybe it will help save the other districts.

I've said a number of times that there's no way anybody who could get into Congress could really think an island would tip over. No way. I refuse to believe it.

As far as the age of the Earth goes, my belief is that it is somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 billion years old. Of course there's no way to validate that. No way to validate techniques for estimating ages beyond recorded history. As a result I do not belittle people who believe differently than I do on the age of the Earth.

If what you're getting at is the question of whether or not the Bible is a literal history, I think it is obvious that it is not. You need go no further than the first two chapters of Genesis to come to a point where the Bible describes the same circumstance in two different sequences. If one is true, the other cannot be.
