Yup. Our forces serve in part as a tripwire on the DMZ. Let the Koreans themselves serve that purpose. Aside from legitimate defense concerns, the main reason they still want us in country are the mandatory Korean support jobs paid for by the American taxpayer.
The South Koreans are strong, capable and resourceful. I believe they can withstand pressure from the North Koreans. My only reluctance in supporting a complete withdrawal is doubt that the South Koreans can withstand Chinese pressure.
After all, the ONLY reason North Korea exists is that China desires it as a foil and distraction to American power in the Pacific.
