Indeed... Clinton signed Gramm, Leach, Bliley, which- to be fair- was bought and paid for on both sides of the aisle by the big banks and Wall Street. That, and the CRA, planted the seeds for the meltdown.

Obama signed Dodd/Frank, for that reason alone he has to go.

What do you call a society that gives Corporations more rights than Citizens..?
Holds Corporations Less accountable than it's Citizens
Makes it's Military the single largest beneficiary of it's economy
Has a Privately owned banking system that it "calls" Federal
When affiliated banking partners fail - they get bailed out
and then blames everything on the poor
We gave all our jobs away because we wanted stuff to cost less
We gave our jobs away so wall street could show more and more profit
Meanwhile we're waiting for Wall Street and the Elite Wealthy to provide all the lost jobs
When they're the one's who sent the jobs elsewhere in the first place (for profit)
We have exactly what we've asked for

True for about 7 of his 8 years.

In Jan 93' he did inherit an economy that was on the upswing- the 91' recession had long since ended and the the economy was rebounding quite nicely (unlike the last recession). Course during the 92' campaign the Clintonistas tried to claim the economy was the worst since the great depression.

He left us with an economy headed south- The market peak in early 00' and was headed south for nearly a yr before he left office. The 01' recession started in March 01', before Bish had enacted a single economic policy, so that recession was on Clinton.

It's gonna be pretty tough to dispute any of Cleet's points - especially since Cleet's is very quick to lay blame at both party's feet. When someone with a black and white world view gets assaulted with truth and rationality they tend to lash out a bit.

He's still in the denial stage i'm guessing.

So I gained about ------>||<------- this much knowledge tonight from what I listened to of the DNC. When Biden was on, I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit and I really couldn't listen to him much after that. I listened to as many bits and pieces of several speakers as I could while doing WORK and it was about what I expected. I think we now know where all the smoke from the fires out west went this year.....it was captured, stored and attempted to be blown up our collective asses tonight. I guess I always have been a bit of a sci-fi fan so I guess it wasn't so bad. :kisswink:
