Why would you spend any energy defending Police Unions (or Auto Workers Unions..?)

The percentage of crappy officers is identical the the percentage of crappy people

You need a little practice deciphering the difference between an observation and an attack

Because in this particular instance it fits his politics. I have family and friends in LE admin and the unionized rank and file can be downright insubordinate like you're seeing here. He just condones because it's DeBlasio.

The world is not filled with people that think, reason, and act like the lawful protestors. We live in a world with people that have varying sized fuses. There have been many actions in history that have been designed to appease the short fuses. But there is also a history of some failure that came from it. This includes the 10+ buildings that were burned to the ground in Ferguson. Was this done by the peaceful protestors? No. But the failure of the protestors to understand the people that their messages of "No Justice, No Peace" reach, has resulted in an incident where COMPLETE INNOCENCE was a victim.

Again, Wilson, Brown, Garner, the choking Cop, the kid in Cleveland, the Cleveland cops, and this moran from Maryland all are guilty of doing something wrong in hindsight. But these two NY cops did absolutely nothing wrong.

Do a root-cause analysis of this incident. Let me know if you don't have the protests, and the messages from them, playing a role in this.

Respectfully disagree.

Cops kill unarmed kids, people get pissed off and retaliate. Unfortunately against cops that had nothing to do with any of the incidents. Sad.

How long ago was it that the unarmed kids got shot by cops? Why are you linking those incidents to this cop killing incident? Protests perhaps?
