All I can say is that in the two instances I'm talking about a bunch of people were saying how wonderful the salmon was. So people who like salmon apparently liked it. In fact the second time I wasn't going to eat any because of the first time then people kept coming up and asking if I'd had some of the salmon and how wonderful it was.
Frankly, if I had to pick, the first time when the Native Americans smoked it was more palatable even though I didn't like it then either.
But the guy who said it's a matter of taste is right. Just like an awful lot of people like what they at least call "Italian" food and I don't like it at all. Don't like the taste of the seasonings. Same with what people call "Mexican" food.
