I work for 40 of them.

Uh huh.

Zero experience. Many are hired right out of HS. lowest paying job in the credit union.

That pretty much DEFINES "entry level".

And as 89 said, most don't stay more than 6-8 months before moving on to MSR, loan officer, etc., etc. and making much more than $11/hr.

I go into my credit union once a week. I prefer to walk in rather than drive thru to get a little ass-kissing. I'm often greeted by a "Good Afternoon, Mr. ********". Then I make small talk with the teller that looks like the comedian Ben Bailey. Yeah, some tellers are certainly not the brightest, but they are all warm, friendly, and polite.

I go to McDonalds 5 times a week and those dumb fucks don't recognize me.

Can we come up with a financial definition of a 1%er here...?

I'm curious if we can all agree what qualifies
$10 Mil in the bank // $50 Mil //or maybe $100 Mil

What's the dividing line of this group we're referencing as the 1%

They all know me. Who do you think they call asking how much cash I am paying them this month   (Hint, it is based on their work, and collections, so they have no clue).

Pena, who has worked at McDonald's for 11 years, plans to not show up for her scheduled shift Thursday to join the strike. She said she earns $10 an hour and is on public assistance. Her hours were cut after Chicago's wage increase went into effect, she added.
Your hours will cut? Yea...what makes you think that you and millions of others won't be fired when the wages you fight for push you out?

And 11 years at Mickey D's? :ohno:

My sister worked at Mickey D's in the early 90s...on the weekends...while in high school. THAT is who those jobs are meant for. Not people trying to support a family. I get it, you made bad decisions and didn't take your schooling seriously. I get it.

So, since you get it, it's your responsibility to help her support her family

Many of the checkers at the grocery store above my office have been there the entire 16 years I've been in this office. They all know me by name even though I pay with cash and don't present a store card that gives them my name. Every time I walk into the SAME bank I've been going to for 16 years, not a single person knows my name and they ask me for my ID every time I bank there. :ohno:

BTW, not that $429,000 isn't a lot of money, but it's really not as much as you think around here when $1,000,000 gets you this...
