So add that to 9/11 and OKC bombing as greater tragedies where guns were not the weapon of choice.

Why have we not yet banned boxcutters, fertilizer, gasoline, and matches?

Why can't we AT LEAST HAVE A CONVERSATION about boxcutters, fertilizer, gas, and matches, amirite Democrats?

I'd think those would be go to weapons to ban since they aren't in the Constitution.

The right to own an AK is spelled out in the Constitution?

Sure is. I can give you some suggestions if you're planning on purchasing one today. Let me know.

The right to bear arms.

But the question (issue) is where do you draw the line. I think many gun advocates go to the extreme and say you can't ban a certain weapon because it sets a precedent. I get that.

I get the historical context that led to the 2nd Amendment and the argument that times have changed.

I see both sides and they both have valid points.

I'm curious as to why you have so many. I'm being sincere, you can only shoot one rifle at a time (with any accuracy.)

Could you also give me some pointers on purchasing a nuke from Pakistan? Surely the Constitution gives me the unequivocal right to keep and bear that arm.

No, there are laws against that, as there are laws against purchasing a full-auto AK.

So the Second Amendment, like the entire Bill of Rights, isn't absolute?

Why does it matter?

These new purchases are just adding to the existing rifles I have.

Not when it's amended. That was something they built into it. They teach civics there in Canada?

Of course, altering the Bill of Rights isn't probably your best idea.

I want to be able to arm as many people who have similar beliefs to myself should the need ever arise. I won't speak for Alpha, but that's why I never feel I can have too many firearms.

Nukes are not firearms and they throw that stupid argument out there because they have nothing.

I actually had that typed up but deleted it. I get that point, and to be honest, I would be the same way. I don't own a gun (aside from a BB gun) but i'm considering investing in a handgun for home defense, CWP and a gun vault that's accessed by prints.

It's almost time to start teaching some Marine Corps small unit tactics to my sons. They will be the point and a-gunner in my personal fireteam. :thumb:
