Maybe she figured no one knew it was her talking due to the face mask. I can't figure out any other reason to throw that out.
I'm guessing it was an intentional statement to accommodate a sightless person, not a gaffe.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 3:00 pmMaybe she figured no one knew it was her talking due to the face mask. I can't figure out any other reason to throw that out.
Edit:. Read on Twitter that she said that because some of the attendees were blind, like you asked, that doesn't make any sense. If they can't see her, or don't even know what blue looks like, why say it?
If they can't see, why do they need to know what color dress she is wearing, unless by blind, they mean very poor vision and Kamala would appear as a blue blob.UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 3:15 pmI'm guessing it was an intentional statement to accommodate a sightless person, not a gaffe.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 3:00 pm

What do her pronouns have to do with blind people?UNI88 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 3:15 pmI'm guessing it was an intentional statement to accommodate a sightless person, not a gaffe.SeattleGriz wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 3:00 pm

Why is stating your pronouns a verbal gaffe?
Ok, not a gaffe, but since there isn’t a ‘Kamala Harris idiotic and dumb statements’ thread, I thought I’d put it here.

Why are Conks such snowflakes about people choosing to describe themselves and/or announce their pronouns?Kamala Harris was mocked by Republicans for opening a roundtable meeting on Tuesday afternoon with disability rights leaders by verbally announcing her pronoun, gender and attire.
“I am Kamala Harris, my pronouns are she and her, I am a woman sitting at the table wearing a blue suit,” the US vice president said while hosting an event on the 32nd anniversary of the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
According to several experts in the field, it is considered “good practice” and a part of a person’s professional responsibilities to describe themselves for the benefit of visually impaired people.
Because it is stupid and I have a low tolerance for stupid people and things.UNI88 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 12:22 pm Kamala Harris describes herself aloud for benefit of people with disabilities – to mockery of Republicans

Fiver's response is more than acceptable. He ridicules the follies of the left but is smart and rational enough to not bother trying to defend or deflect for the follies of the right.
This is a thread for stupid things said by Harris. There is a another thread for stupid things said by Gaetz, MTG, Boebert, etc. Bringing them on on this thread is a red herring.UNI88 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 1:24 pmFiver's response is more than acceptable. Yours however is interesting because you have tendency to defend/deflect for stupid people like Gaetz, MTG, Boebert, etc. Maybe your response should more accurately be "because it is stupid and progressive and I have a low tolerance for stupid progressive people and things."
