I have no problem with Kap kneeling during the anthem. I also have no problem with the men and women who fight to protect this country taking that kneeling personally.

Some people could use some thicker skin.

I couldn't serve, even though I tried. I have a friend that did his 4 years and left. There is nothing wrong with that bu I love to mess with him and remind him that I worked with the military more than twice as long as he served so i'm better than he is.

He's one of these guys that got out after 4, has a Vet license plate and is quick to show his DD-214 every Veterans Day and wait 4 hours for a free meal at Apple bees. His brother, a career USMC officer, rags on him for it.

I couldn't serve, even though I tried. I have a friend that did his 4 years and left. There is nothing wrong with that bu I love to mess with him and remind him that I worked with the military more than twice as long as he served so i'm better than he is.

He's one of these guys that got out after 4, has a Vet license plate and is quick to show his DD-214 every Veterans Day and wait 4 hours for a free meal at Apple bees. His brother, a career USMC officer, rags on him for it.

Those type guys/girls make me sick. Apply a bumper sticker if you are proud. I don't have any. Get the plate if you dedicated half your life to it. See the VA if you were handicapped, suffer PTSD, or you retired. Take the free college if you could have been killed.

I bought a fridge once at Home Depot and a friend of ours that worked there said we could use my veteran's discount. I assured her that my 6 years wasn't why that policy was implemented. (I have admit she gave us the discount, anyway).

A free sandwich, is just milking it.

agreed. My wife is constantly on me about not asking for my military discount. It’s just honestly not something I think about...it’s not why I served. Don’t have the plate, don’t have any bumper stickers, have ONE hat. That’s about it.
