The bible was written by men interpreting God's words. What if they screwed it up and it isn't accurate?
And every scribe put his own mark on it
Oh Lord.

1). I’m not a Christian.

2). Someone’s value as a human being has nothing to do with their chosen faith. It’s their actions that matter.

3). This also has nothing to do with calling out hypocrisy or rhetoric that threatens our constitutional rights (to circle back to Mike Johnson). That hypocrisy and threat clearly transcends faith.
And I'll ask again. What threat will Mike Johnson implement? I too think he's a little too uptight, but I'm not worried about what he'll "ram through".

So what is he going to implement?
Start with the 2020 election. Then go to how he professes to legislate. Next answer each of my three points in the post.

I’ll let you do your own research.

He’s no threat at all, these Jesus haters on here have labeled Him as the boogeyman and it’s sad and comical to read …. Kalm will tell you Johnson not Jesus is the boogeyman but he doesn’t read his own posts

I provided the path. It’s up to you to challenge your own thinking.

We dismiss those we disagree with as stupid, insane or evil because it saves us from having to deal with the complex truth: that people see things differently from us largely because the labyrinth of experience has led them to different conclusions.

My farm is 4 miles from a regional university. A place full of learning resources like books and lab equipment.

You should check a few these things out sometime. :thumb:

I used to read his syndicated column weekly when it was in the Spokesman Review. I recognize the education and mildly appreciate his economics (as much as one can, given the unrealistic nature of libertarianism) but where he takes his economic ideas with philosophy and politics gives me zero desire to read his books.

So zero. The answer is zero. A number which will remain.

Typical, you’re open mindedness attitude is really only open to your own narrative

“What socialism, fascism and other ideologies of the left have in common is an assumption that some very wise people—like themselves—need to take decisions out of the hands of lesser people, like the rest of us, and impose those decisions by government fiat.”

Open mindedness lies in considering alternate points of view. Not always agreeing with them.

The insurmountable pillars for people like Sowell are 1) failure to underestimate greed, 2) that humans are social apes, evolved to cooperate within a community, and 3). A viable form of governance that fits within their economic framework.

There are no purely socialistic economies that thrive. Similarly, the same can be said for libertarian based economies. The argument is in defining the middle between the two.

I've only been harassing you because it'd be like me telling you something about golf that was a common misconception. Telling you that if you didn't adhere to this misconception, you were a hack golfer.

I'd then proceed to roundly criticize current professionals as hacks.

Klam hates all darkies that leave his plantation. He's like an anti-semite. Out in the open, but shocked his views are not in the norm.

Judge Thomas, Pediatric Neurosurgeon Carson, Bobby Jindhal, Vivek Ramaswamy and now Thomas Sowell. :ohno:

Jesus would not approve of his stance. Not a good look

Jesus’s ideas of love, humility, compassion, service to the needy, aren’t uncommon or difficult to grasp. They are human traits that come naturally to many people including children. The challenge lies in living up to them as you move through life.

They’re way more intuitive than letting your come UP with your swing or swinging with less effort to hit it further.

I’m not sure why you think the teachings are some super secret code that only Christian’s can break.

Read the Ghandi quote a few times. It’s relevant here.
