It might get interesting tonight. Just got an email from the landlord saying that they received 1) a robocall from the city warning about potential violence in planned protests this evening, and 2) word from another downtown business owner warning that "agitators" were being bused in. I have my doubts, but we'll see.

Interesting but not as bad as many cities have had it last night. Some windows broken, graffiti, fireworks and a few shots fired from the protesters. No looting though. Police showed a lot of patience, but ended up responding with tear gas and rubber bullets. I passed through the area while running pretty early this morning (5:30-6:00) expecting to see more damage, but was happily surprised. Still, a curfew goes into effect at 8:00 tonight until 6:00 am.

I hope the police concentrate on downtown, because I plan on breaking curfew in order to run again.
