Amazing how archaic the WH switchboard and WH phone tracking is. Apparently, Trump, like other Presidents before him, only have their calls logged when they use the switchboard (so they call up the switchboard, ask to be put through to someone, and it gets logged). Calls from cell phones, or direct calls where you just dial the number yourself, don't get logged, unless someone proactively logs that on their own. Apparently Trump almost never used the switchboard in the Oval Office, because he had a cell phone or someone else dial the number. Only when he was in the residence did he use the switchboard. And we've had cell phones now for about 20+ years, so it would seem like we're way behind the time we should improve this system.

I'm sure they did. But in this day and age, it's all about getting headlines out there - no one really reads the follow-up stories, or heck, even the rarely published correction. Get the headline out there and that's all you need. I'm no Trump fan, but this was always meant to come across like the Nixon tapes fiasco or something like that and the smear was intentional. Even the BBC has a whole story on burner phones now (apparently they don't follow the NBA - burner phones are so 5 years ago). Typical play in the media these days.

ASHEVILLE - Mark Meadows has been removed from North Carolina's voter rolls, a move made as the State Bureau of Investigation continues a probe into allegations the former White House Chief of Staff committed election fraud.

Macon County Board of Elections Director Melanie Thibault confirmed April 12 that she had removed Meadows the prior day from the county's active voter list.

Thibault said she consulted N.C. Board of Elections staff in Raleigh after finding records that Meadows was registered both in Virginia and North Carolina.

"What I found was that he was also registered in the state of Virginia. And he voted in a 2021 election. The last election he voted in Macon County was in 2020," she said.

The state law under which he was removed was General Statute 163-57, which says, "if a person goes into another state, county, municipality, precinct, ward, or other election district, or into the District of Columbia, and while there exercises the right of a citizen by voting in an election, that person shall be considered to have lost residence in that State, county, municipality, precinct, ward, or other election district from which that person removed."

Meadows, an ex-Asheville and Western North Carolina congressman, former top staffer for President Donald Trump and a leading proponent of the false claim that Trump lost the election due to widespread fraud, has not commented on the allegations since news broke in March that he registered to vote at a single-wide mobile home in Macon County where there is no evidence he ever lived. Meadows voted absentee using that address in the 2020 general election.

It seems I hear and read more about Republicans that have committed election fraud than Democrats..

All that fraud and they STILL lost to a decaying old geezer.

In December, Ketcik, along with Joan Halstead and John Rider, who also reside in The Villages, was arrested on voter fraud charges for casting more than one vote during the 2020 election, according to police affidavits. Halstead, 71, and Rider, 61, are still awaiting trial. Both have pleaded not guilty.

That following month Barnes was arrested and taken to Sumter County Jail with similar charges.

State voter records show Barnes and Rider are not affiliated with a political party in Florida. Ketcik and Halstead are registered Republicans. It is unclear if they knew each other.

Before moving to The Villages, Barnes previously held an address in Connecticut, according to an arrest report.

In Minneapolis yesterday, 34-year-old Muse Mohamud Mohamed was convicted on three counts of what basically amounted to voter fraud. What he was technically convicted of was lying to a federal grand jury that was investigating potential irregularities in the 2020 elections, but it works out to be the same thing. Mohamed submitted three ballots in the Democratic primary for other people, claiming to be their authorized “agent” and acting on their behalf because they were unable to cast the ballots themselves. The reason that the jury took less than an hour to convict him is that all three of the “voters” in question testified that they didn’t even know the man and had not given him an absentee ballot to submit. And one of the people had already voted in person. (Associated Press)

A Minneapolis man was found guilty Tuesday of lying to a federal grand jury about abusing a process for submitting absentee ballots for other voters during Minnesota’s primary election in August 2020.

After a day of testimony, the jury of 10 women and two men took just 40 minutes to convict Muse Mohamud Mohamed of two counts of making false statements to a grand jury, according to Minnesota Public Radio.

Mohamed, 34, was accused of falsely telling the grand jury last fall that he had obtained three absentee ballots for the primary on behalf of three voters who then filled them out before he returned them to the election office.

There have been so many of these cases cropping up all over the country ever since Democrats began pushing for massive mail-in voting that the flaws in these systems should be obvious by now. Minnesota’s voting laws contain a provision for “agent delivery.” If a person wishes to vote but is unable to do so due to illness or disability, they can assign an “agent” to take their ballot and drop it off, even after the voting deadline. An agent is allowed to deliver up to three ballots in this fashion.

Mohamed was a volunteer for a Democratic Socialist candidate named Omar Fateh, who was running in the primary for a state senate seat. Fateh went on to win the primary by just 2,000 votes and then the general election. What Mohamed was doing seems obvious. He wanted to give the boss a bit of a boost, so he found the names of three registered voters in the district and filled out ballots in their names.

It appears that the only reason Mohamed was caught and eventually convicted was that the election was under review by the grand jury. The rest of the grand jury records are sealed, so even the AP admits that it remains “unclear” whether or not anyone else was or is under scrutiny for the same sort of illegal activity. But if one of Fateh’s volunteers thought this was a fine idea, what are the odds that others were attempting the same thing, potentially without being detected?
