True. I also don't think you can discount the possibility that the person who bought it also thought it might help with the planning. There are MENSA level geniuses with 6.93x our intelligence on both sides of this kerfluffle.

Good point, when I design infrastructure I definitely start with a LEGO mock up first before getting it into CAD.
