Coal isn't coming back unless fracking gets banned. Cheap natural gas combined with the wind PTC have pretty well killed it.

Although I thought we weren't supposed to tell people to learn to code? Or does that just apply when saying it to journalists?

We are going to have to figure out something for a base load or find a way to help smooth out the power grid then. Natgas peaking plants and renewables add a lot of swings to the power grid that need to stabilized somehow. Plus get used to paying higher costs for electric power.

The savings: $90 million a year, or two thousandths of a percent of the $4.4-trillion federal budget.
