What point are you making kalm? CH obviously doesn't know what it is/was. :coffee:
The 2020 election wasn’t stolen. Which was his point. (I think)
There is a 20 minute video with multiple clips of the fourth estate in overdrive telling naïve Americans that hunters laptop was fake news and obviously a Russian disinformation operation

Our current secretary of state orchestrated getting 51 Intel agents to sign on the dotted line verifying that it was indeed fake

The social media leftist hacks were in overdrive as well, blocking accounts, blocking stories..

Not one of these hacks has come out and said they were wrong or apologized for their lies

Americans were lied to and despite what you guys pretend, it is indeed election interference and it is stealing elections.

You guys should be pissed and not pandering to these liars

What came out in court yesterday?

Which version of the hard drive?

A ripped copy that Rudie, instead of turning it over to authorities gave it to the NY Post? Did it prove that Hunter was a drug addict who illegally bought a gun and didn’t pay taxes for a year?

Oh ma gosh! That’s a more clever way to steal election than paying off a porn star to keep quiet!

Technically speaking, it's a conviction for falsifying records. Election interference was never proven, just inferred as an option (along with tax avoidance and campaign finance violation). But there's no technical conviction for election interference. As you know, it's why the convictions will likely be overturned on appeal. The intent was to make conviction more likely even if that meant increasing the likelihood for overturn on appeal. Kind of like the game that Trump is playing with the other cases - get things to a desirable point prior to the election and postpone things that won't help electability until after the election. Trump's group has delayed the other cases until after the election and Dems here hurried this conviction knowing the overturn on appeal won't happen until well after the election. Yay politics. :ohno:

A second crime was required to turn falsified records from a misdemeanor to a felony conviction. Election interference is a crime. There was sufficient evidence of it shown to the jury (even if it was not the charge) to convict.

Excuses, excuses. MAQA yahoos find it hard to believe that people "knew about the activities of the biden family" and still voted for biden over trump so they blame the 4th estate for not reporting on them.

Many of these same MAQA yahoos rationalize "trump and his wrongs" despite the 4th estate reporting on them. Do you see the irony of them whining about people not knowing about / acknowledging "the activities of the biden family" while they rationalize "trump and his wrongs"?

And yet they didn't try him for that second crime. That's a pretty big gap in the judicial process - we're going to blame you for a crime, and we'll use the presumed guilt of that unproven crime to further a different conviction, but we won't actually charge you with that crime nor go through a trial process on that crime. As many have said, it's almost a slam dunk for an overturn on appeal. They can try him again and formally go through getting a conviction on both crimes, and maybe they have a decent case for it (although the Feds deciding not to pursue a case on election interference, among the other possibilities of a second crime, does indicate it's not a foregone conclusion to get that second conviction to elevate the falsifying). But then again, this was never about guilt or not guilt, it was about getting something on the books before the election. Again, just like Trump pushing the more substantial cases to after the election, the goal here was to get something, even something that will be overturned after the election happens, decided before the election.

It may indeed not get through appeal. But prosecutors have discretion. And remember, Trump didn’t put much of a fight with only one witness etc.

While you can certainly make a case that everything is politically driven there were still crimes committed and a cover up. That’s the risk you run when breaking the law.

If it’s all just lawfare and a game, don’t hate the players.

I love when ganny pretends to be a lawyer.

Does the New York statute require concealment of crimes committed by the accused for the felony enhancement? Can concealing a crime committed by someone else satisfy it?

Actual questions. I don't know and I'm not pretending to know.

Cohen was convicted of campaign finance violations. The prosecution showed and the jury agreed that the falsification of business records was to cover up these crimes.

Ganny is pretty confident that shouldn't count because they were concealing crimes committed by someone else? Is that based that on anything?

New Yahoo News/YouGov poll: After Trump felony conviction, Biden leads for 1st time in months — but not by much
In the wake of former President Donald Trump’s felony conviction last week for falsifying business records to hide a hush money payment to a porn star, President Biden (46%) now leads his Republican rival (44%) in a two-way race for the White House for the first time since October 2023, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll.

What a garbage article (not as much poll). They did mention registered voters. but then didn’t stick with that.
…42% of Americans….

● 40% of Americans…..

● And 44% of Americans....
Which is wrong. Correct would be
….42% of registered voters….

● 40% of registered voters….

● And 44% of registered voters….
Registered voters is a subset of Americans, as you can have Americans who aren’t registered voters. Lazy, shitty journalism.

Secondly, as I said on Tues:
BDKJMU wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2024 10:49 am Registered doesn’t mean much when a large percentage of registered don’t vote and this election is all going to be about base motivation & turnout. What percentage of those people in those polls aren’t going to end up voting? There are lots of people who are registersd but rarely or never vote.

From wiki:
Approximately 240 million people were eligible to vote in the 2020 presidential election and roughly 66.1% of them submitted ballots, totaling 158,427,986 votes.
Any poll at this point that isn’t LIKELY voters I’d take with a grain of salt.
Thirdly, if 100% there’s going to be 3rd party candidates, and Trump leads when 3rd party candidates are included, then the headline is basically fake news when it says ‘Biden leads for the 1st time since 2023.’

Fourthy, national polls at thos point, esp not limited to likely voters, are about as worthless as tits on a bull. For Biden to win, going t by 2016 and 2020 he would have to have to win by anywhere from 3% to 4.5% nationally. The 7 swing states are all that matters.

Show me the polls of registered, LIKELY voters for:
-PA
-MI
-WI
first. Then:
-NV
-AZ
-NC
-GA
If you want to throw in a few others like OH, FL, VA, MN, ok. But polls with that include registered voters from CA, Bama, etc are a waste of time. .

From wiki:

But polls with that include registered voters from CA, Bama, etc are a waste of time. .

and "Americans" are the population of two continents. :coffee:
You matter. Unless you multiply yourself by c squared. Then you energy.

What a garbage article (not as much poll). They did mention registered voters. but then didn’t stick with that.

Which is wrong. Correct would be

Registered voters is a subset of Americans, as you can have Americans who aren’t registered voters. Lazy, shitty journalism.

Secondly, as I said on Tues:
