The Escambia county school district, located in Pensacola, Florida, removed several dictionaries and encyclopedias from school libraries after school officials determined that the books violated Florida law HB 1069.
...
District officials also removed copies of The Guinness Book of World Records, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not, a book for children that highlights unusual stories and “hair-raising oddities”, according to the book’s description.

It’s just about protecting the children.

The legislation intends to restrict books in the state’s schools that are “alleged to contain pornography or obscene depictions of sexual conduct.” It was signed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R).

Now O’Reilly, who initially supported the legislation, saying “abuse” was going on in the state, says that the law needs to be “tightened up.”

If you're going to ban books with gay characters then you need to ban books with straight characters or you're discriminating. I guess all characters in all books must be asexual.
