They don't get rich or famous because they make good art. They make horrible shit art but are famous for other reasons. Then they get rich because people want to own something created by the famous person.

Sounds like they have a pretty good racket going, then. Sure as hell beats being a starving artist making stuff that's supposedly better.

And I too re-laughed at my "I just left a difficult piece in my toilet" comment. It made me wonder if I hadn't already started slipping into early stage Alzheimers. But since I can remember what I was thinking yesterday, I think I may be OK.
