In a nutshell....

Nobody has said that FMC is perfect. There isn't an economic system that is or ever will be (sorry, "progressives"), but it is the best one we have and probably ever will.

Please don't make the mistake and believe that slavery or indentured servitude was or is a component of free market capitalism. Using slavery or serfdom is rigging the game. To have true FMC, there needs to be a vibrant, diverse, competitive, and mobile labor market.

You seem to under the false assumption that free market capitalism is a zero sum game. For every winner there isn't a loser, everybody can and usually does mutually benefit if given the chance and opportunity. Sometimes you win more than the other guy, but the next time the roles might reverse.

A hybrid government and economic system is what creates bubble economies. You have the government either propping up the market or depressing the market artificially. In order for FMC to work like it's supposed to, there needs to be a NATURAL equilibrium. Markets are perfect, they will correct themselves very quickly. The only thing government intervention does is slow productivity and growth (TARP, bailouts, etc), and makes it much more difficult for the market to find it's equilibrium.

Baldy, markets may be perfect, but people aint. I do agree with much of what you say, but some of it applies only in fantasyland.
That might be what you have been taught, but it's simply not true. Some might try to game the system, but that is why there is competition in a free market capitalist society. The only time people are able to "beat" the system is when they have the permission of government through favorable regulation, government created monopolies, judicial fiat, etc. etc. etc.

AFTER leaving home (without exception) 4 of the 10 siblings have obtained bachelors degrees (paid for by themselves) and 2 of those four have obtained advanced degrees (again, paid for by themselves).

I agree, not everyone has that blessing, but it's still an excuse or a crutch for someone when they turn out to be a rotten apple.
Maybe you should contact the folks at the Oxygen network and sell your life story.

Uh, you did have enough wealth to grow up in a safe, stable and healthy household - all vital, basic requirements for what followed.

Sure it can be an excuse for some, but it aint representative of all the poor, like you and Reagan would have us believe. Why aint you pissed at the real criminals and welfare whores - Wall Street shyksters and defense contractors? They're stealing trillions of YOUR tax dollars.
And that "wealth" was created by my father working 3 full-time jobs. No welfare. No uemployment checks. No WIC.

Get the picture? The jobs are out there....if people REALLY want to work. But no, they'd rather collect their welfare check and sit around a smoke crack all day than start at the bottom of a company for a paycheck and work their way up. They want everything HANDED to them, because that's the way they're CONDITIONED. :ohno: :ohno:

And that's the 2nd time you've tried to throw that red herring out there. You wanna discuss wall street and defense contractors? start a thread on it. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

It's not a red herring Z. I agree, some people are lazy. All I'm saying is that it's counterproductive and wrong to use a small fraction of a group as representative. You've been hoodwinked by your own party. You've been led to believe something that isn't true. While you're blinded with rage that a black woman with 15 kids is getting a $115.75 check every month and some food stamps, your party (conks) are watching the door while their puppetiers loot the nations wealth to the tune of trillions of dollars.

Your stereotyping the poor also makes it more difficult for us to develop fair and efficient welfare programs that can really help them.

NOTHING can help them if they are not willing to help themselves. Having more than one kid when you are already on assistance DOES NOT count as someone who is willing to help themselves. It is criminal negligence and abuse at BEST.

The people who came up with the idea that government should be involved in charity...in giving handouts...are responsible for the mentality reflected. I just wonder how much effort is expended in this country pursuing government handouts.

Not much effort by "welfare moms" comparitively. Most government handouts go to the wealthy, all the white fucks who cheat on their taxes and to corporations/Wall Street. St. Wronge, when you get your head out of your ass, read up on TARP. We recently bailed out Wall Street and american automanufacturers with a godzillian of welfare dollars.

You fucking idiots need to get off the blacks and the poor and concentrate on the real criminals and welfare whores.

Racist motherfuckers, every one of you.

There are more people than jobs ONLY because the government places artificial, unnecessary and counterproductive restrictions on labor and capital.

The "elephant in the room" is "progressive" big government.

The correct term is teabaggers, Z.

That's another example of the extremist right shit that will gut the Conk party and allow Obama to take United Van Lines off speed dial.

Wrong again Z. Child molesters, specifically those that abuse little boys, are representative of all catholic priests. Teabaggers are your party's voting block and mouthpiece. They say shit that people like you (business & community professionals) are too chicken shit to say for fear of being appropriately labeled a racist, homophobe, greedy fuck or shit head gun collector fetishist.

I have been trying for not one but 2 years to find a full-time job, not just seasonal and temp jobs. Short of traveling to another state outside of TN and KY there is nothing available. I have put in probably 50 - 75 applications (not including on-line applications) during this period and I have only gotten 3 callbacks (including on-line applications). Employers want the "perfect" candidate instead of the "competent" candidate. If I feel that I'm qualified for the job that it entails, then I apply. Sometimes I wonder why I haven't given up. Oh, yeah because I'm 32, willing to work, with one bad check writing charge against me. I know that a simple bad check charge can't be the only thing that is holding me back. It can't be bad interviewing because I can't even get that far with a less than 5% interview rate. People are broke, when gas prices are going back up, people get tired of asking for gas money (I know that I do), unemployment funds can only go so far until that dries up. It's ironic that I'm the one that is willing to stay for the long haul but the people that they hired ended up leaving within 6 months of getting the job. Not my that they hired the wrong person. :ohno: The only thing I have right now is H&R Block, but that's not until December. A very long wait for income to come in when no one calls for an interview. I have tried the aggressive route and employers find every excuse that they can conjure up not talk to me. It's really sickening. Why put up Help Wanted signs if you are not willing to talk to the applicant. I have a high intolerance for the shady employers and it's getting old.

I have received NO UNEMPLOYMENT money, because I didn't work long enough to get it. I guess I am one of the people that fell through the cracks. It must have been a mighty big crack to fall through.

Now that I'm done with my rant. Are they any rational suggestions that anyone has for me? Insults are not welcome. 8-)
I have 176 reasons to be happy.

I hate to tell you this dude, but you asked, so here it comes. You are a chronically unemployed person without much of a work history. You also have a criminal charge on your record. You will most likely be one of the last people hired on a full time basis at the tail end of this recession if then. Sorry, that's just the reality. Sucks though, and I am sorry.
Dear lord... please allow this dangerous combination of hair spary, bat slobber, and D.O.T. four automatic transmission fluid to excite my mind, occupy my spirits, and enrage my body, provoking me to kick any man or woman in the back of the head regardless of what he or she has or has not done unto me. All my Best, Earlie Cuyler.
