And some pathetic real-life demonstration. Watch it. I dare you. Then blather about O'Reilly this, O'Reilly that. Who's more of an idiot...

Okay,
So how does that have anything to do with - how we - as a free capitalists society should manage marijuana...?
So everything that MIGHT cause damage (Like 44 ounce soda pops) should be illegal
Is that what you're saying..?

I don't understand your point..?
Lots of things are dangerous and perfectly legal in a FREE CAPITALIST SOCIETY
Please explain your point more clearly

Holy fuck!!

This thread started in response to an article reporting on a pro-marijuana group's announcement of a public relations campaign to "push back" their stated perception of negative use of "stoner" stereotyping in media.

As usual, the CS airheads rolled in to "defend" pot with mythical assertions of marijuana's benign harm but superlative beneficial effects.

I have sourced the harmful effects of marijuana.

In your mind, Hippie, the squirrel just ran past and you are now distractedly wanting to discuss marijuana's business role and government "social" policy.

Stay focused.

This thread IS NOT A PLEADING FOR INCREASED NANNY STATE, NOR A PLEADING FOR LIBERTARIAN DEREGULATION OF ALL THINGS BAD.

It is, simply, a reminder that marijuana abuse harms the user.

Period.

Use of Soros-funded legalization funding for propaganda campaigns designed to convince weak-minded substance abusers that marijuana is a benign chemical THAT IS GOOD FOR THEM...

...in direct contradiction to medical research...

...is as evil as the Tobacco Industry's decades-long campaign to profit from the deaths of millions.

:ohno:

And the potheads who naively, passionately, defend their drug abuse need help.

I realize in your pot-inhibited fugue you have difficulty keeping thought and logic organized...

My comment is apparent to anyone who's been around both pot and booze including all the physicians, psychiatrists, scientists etc. who use it.

I commend you on your trolling here though. Nice work!

The Pot Heads need about as much help as the Sugar addicts in this country - of which there are significantly higher numbers based on our obesity statistics (+30% of the population)

I still think you're way too zealous on this one pork chop....

Everyone acknowledges sugar, cigarettes, obesity, alcohol, etc...are not good for health.

The vehemence displayed by the potheads in defending their drug should be a warning to policymakers.

Marijuana is a recreational drug with deleterious effects......

Mainly because regulations have required warnings. How long until the baggie gets a warning label?

And I really don't care if they do or don't. I just don't want to pay for their medical bills IF it is found that it's use is hazardous to your health. Fuck the ACA.

And I don't even smoke although I was a friend (from childhood) to a pothead who smoked from dawn to dusk. This past year, his father passed after battling cancer. The widow went to her investment adviser to assist in name changes on their retirement accounts, when the adviser noted significant withdrawals over the past 5 years. Turns out her co-signer pothead son (my friend)had been skimming from the accounts (approx $50k/yr) since losing his govt job for cause (skipped work unexcused for weeks in a row). She declined to prosecute, but has disowned him. Talking with some of his pot buddies, a common statement was, "It makes sense. XXXXXX always had plenty of the best stuff. Better than what I buy."
He is no longer my friend: I will not speak with him.

True story.

For every "legitimate use" case you can cite, I can cite ten examples of pot destroying a life, family, business or environment.

So to summarize, people who already smoke pot think it should be legal and that it's not harmful. Wow, we've really made progress here.
