There's nothing sinister about it.... black drug dealers are the lowest hanging fruit of the low hanging fruit. They deal in the open and you can nab them right on the street. White kids deal indoors and nabbing them takes search warrants.
Hell I didn't "figure anything out" I just read about Marijuana stuff around King County
You didnt have to figure anything out- it is simple common sense and you said it yourself- the black guys are dealing in broad daylight. And they hold it in small amounts, making distribution charges tough- so its a possession charge.

Theres really nothing to see here.... someone with common sense sees those numbers and realizes whats going on. People who dont use a lot of common sense (like Jon and his lucky-to-have-found-the-only-good-white-man black friends) usually come to a different conclusion

even more interesting to note...
Marijuana arrests didn't exactly go down back in 2001 when Seattle police stopped arresting for possession and people smoking in the park and the like

They still arrested people who were actively selling pot
and the same guys were still selling it - and still getting arrested for selling it

But now the average white college student who was occasionally getting popped for smoking in the park or on the street was now completely off the radar and it was entirely focused on "busting the sellers"

Thats totally believable. But it isnt attributable to racism on the part of police. Heck it would be easier to ascribe it to laziness.

I'm just pointing out how we might be getting those 4 x blacks arrested for Marijuana number...
Changing the Pot rules didn't really fix that problem

So, Jon...

...if it turns out Brown had just robbed a store when asked not to walk down the middle of the street, to which his buddy told the officer in effect to fuck off, then forcibly held the officer's driver door closed while punching the officer in the face and head, and when the officer, now with fractured facial bones, drew his handgun, Brown tried grabbing the gun with his right hand when the gun discharged into Browns right arm. Now wounded, Brown and his buddy start to run and the officer orders Brown to "stop or I'll shoot" (or words to that effect). Brown, already shot once, from a distance less than 20', turns facing the officer, then charges the officer. The officer (failing to utilize the Holder approved, "If the crook is black, they're justified to violently attack" cops protocol), fearing for his life, shoots Brown until he drops ...falling 3 to 4 steps short of the target he's trying to kill...

...would the officer still be at fault?

that version is Fox's fairy tale, unsupported by any eye witnesses.

Of course, you still believe Reagan was a good President and that the invasion of Iraq was justified.
Actually, Jon, I could give a rat's ass what Fox, AP, ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN,Reuters,ESPN,HBO,MediaMatters,HuffPo, WaPo, LA Times, NY Times, or LGBT Herald has written about the incident. My hypothetical is based upon video statements from four witnesses, including five separate interviews of Brown accomplice Dorian Johnson, and the three autopsies.

Period.

But, back to my question...given that hypothetical, would the officer still be at fault?

So you expect the cops to ignore the open air selling of weed? :suspicious:

That would be lazy.

Look, if black people can't bother being discreet with their transactions, then you can't blame a cop for doing his job and picking the lowest fruit in order to get the bigger (that's a, "b" there, folks) crop.

Officers spend way more time with radar at profitable locations rather than setting up at dangerous ones...you know, the ones where enforcing speed could save lives.

Capitalism demands a bigger bang for the buck (that's another couple, "b"s there, folks).

what is it with you guys lately

Im beginning to think I dont speak clearly

My point is that the reason blacks are arrested in greater numbers than whites for pot possession is not attributable to racism... rather, any number of more likely factors, like simple laziness. Black guys, as I have said before, are the low hanging fruit.

But what the fvclk to I know I was only a cop for fvckin forever

Agreed,
Selling pot on the street corner in broad daylight will get you arrested
In any city in America
Even the cities that have legalized pot

Agree.

And that is why it isn't the cops who are lazy...they are dimply doing their job. It is the drug dealers who are too lazy to meet their clients somewhere other than in plain sight.

A new CNN/ORC poll out Thursday morning suggests a Republican lead over a Democratic incumbent, this time in Alaska, and does nothing to calm Democrats' nerves.

The exact quote from former St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch:

“So they are trying to do other things – I’ll call them consolation prizes – for the community, to show that we’re not just going to let them get away with this,”
