Most Democrats (57%) would vote to give Obama a third term. Ninety-three percent (93%) of Republicans, 68% of voters not affiliated with either major party - and 32% of Democrats - would not.
Rasmussen, .

One of the worst pollsters. His polling led all those Conk talking heads to predict a Romney landslide.

Truth is - incumbents with around 50% approval rating win reelection almost every time. Obama is pretty close to 50%. No guarantee he'd be reelected. But, it's just stupid to suggest he'd have no change. :coffee:

Historically, Rasmussen has been one of the most accurate polling companies over it's existence. In 2004 and 2008, it was dead on the money and was the most accurate poll in 2008. Not to mention, they were right on target in the 2010 and 2014 midterm elections as well. 2012 was it's worst year, but was still rated as average by the wingnuts at FiveThirtyEight blog.

Left-wing loons like Nate Silver, WaPo, NYT, and Talking Points Memo have been most critical, but even Silver has admitted before that Rasmussen is almost always very accurate. :tothehand:

I'm not as tried and true conservative as Baldy but I believe that over a protracted campaign Hillary's arrogance will wear on people and that if nominated there is a better than 50% chance that she will not be elected POTUS.
Well everybody does Pay-Pal
lets bet $50.00 on the election
Keep in mind I'm betting on somebody that I'm not even voting for
However it is a foregone conclusion she will win Washington State so my vote is meaningless

But $50 bucks

I'll place wagers with both you and Baldy

Sounds reasonable. What happens if Hillary doesn't win the Dem nomination?

Agree that if Hillary flames out it's either foot-in-mouth Biden or some white knight. Bernie is too liberal and the party wonks will do everything they can to make sure he isn't the candidate.

Election math.

Democrats had to defend 21 seats to Republicans' 15 in a midterm election (lower turnout hurts Democrats more).

I'd be willing to bet that Democrats retake the Senate in 2016 due to the opposite factors: (Republicans have to defend 24 seats, and Democrats only 11 - and it will be a Presidental election).
