That map doesn't show "concentrations" at all. It doesn't say anything all about population densities. It just shows percent Black population in given areas defined by the census. You could have an area that's got 10 people and if 9 of them are Black that's 90% Black and shows up as dark orange on that map. Ok I know there's nothing that extreme but that's the principle I'm talking about.

Blacks tend to be concentrated in larger cities. The larger cities in those States have higher percent Black populations than the States in general. And if you look at the larger cities they've got plenty of drivers license offices that are open a lot. Take Georgia for example. Look at Atlanta. The overall percent Black population in Georgia is 31% but the percent Black population of heavily populated Atlanta is 54%. Look at the drivers license offices around Atlanta.

This is ridiculous. The lengths Liberals will go to in terms of lying with statistics are infinite. I know conservatives do it too but I really do think Liberals are worse about it. They are absolutely shameless and that map is an example of that problem. And no I'm not talking about Sky. I think Sky honestly thought he was showing something. I'm talking about people who prepared that map he posted in order to convince people like him that something sinister is going on.

BTW I looked at this some more today and I didn't capture all the Alabama counties that closed offices the first time. 30 counties closed offices. The combined population of those 30 counties is 23 percent Black and 71 percent non-Hispanic White. The overall population of Alabama is 27 percent Black and 66 percent non-Hispanic White. You can figure out what that means.

The map included in the article linked at the top of the thread shows 29 counties that now do not have drivers license offices. That's a little different. There are counties on that list that aren't on the list of counties closing offices because they already didn't have drivers license offices. Like the county at the northwest corner of Alabama, Lauderdale. It's on the map as not having an office but it's not on the list of counties that are closing drivers license officers. It also has a population of 93,096 that is only 10 percent Black while being 85 percent non-Hispanic White.

The combined population of the Alabama counties that now won't have drivers license offices is 26 percent Black and 69 percent non-Hispanic White. You can figure out what that means too.

And what you'll figure out is that the idea that there is some kind of Black and/or minority voter suppression effort associated with Alabama's decisions about closing drivers license offices and/or the distribution of Alabama counties that don't have drivers license offices is total crap.

But that's what Liberals do. All the time.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

Yeah, no problem at all here.

Conk strategy:

1. We should require photo ID at the polls. Photo IDs are super easy to get, so it's not a problem
1a. On a totally unrelated note, we no longer have the money to make photo IDs as accessible.

2. We don't need to regulate corporations, because people can just file civil lawsuits to address malfeasance.
2a. On a totally unrelated note, we need to pass tort reform which will make it more difficult for people to file civil lawsuits against corporations.

3. We don't need to worry about discrimination within the private sector because the government already provides enough public services to all citizens.
3a. On a totally unrelated note, we need to privatize most public government services and let religious charities fill in the gap.

:wall:

If you want to require photo IDs to vote in order to lessen all the rampant (lol) in-person voter fraud, great. Go ahead. But, it should then be the state's obligation to provide these IDs to all eligible citizens.

So Alabama is not providing them with IDs?

It sure as hell isn't easy.

The cheapest non-driver I.D. costs $40.

The mythical "free voter ID" is pretty fucking difficult to get. By their own admission, they've only given out ~1,000. Oh, and if you have had another form of legitimate ID issued to you - it is a FELONY to request a free voter ID.

First you need to present the application it at a) your board of registrars b) the Secretary of States office or c) supposed mobile locations. In person. Which doesn't sound like a problem until you realize the registrars are often found in PO boxes.. Having to get the ID by going into the capital building doesn't pass the laugh test as reasonable for the average person. The supposed mobile locations show up occasionally for a few hours at a time. If you live in Escambia County, I hope you showed up between 10 AM and 12 PM on the 7th! http://www.alabamavoterid.com/mobilelocations.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This makes getting an ID absurdly difficult if you can't easily travel across half the state. But the kicker is that you can't get the voter ID if you have an existing ID. Which means if your drivers license is about to expire you can't plan ahead by going to one of those fancy mobile locations. The only reason for that last bit is to prevent people from getting the ID.

Where did you get that it cost $40?
Beginning with the June 3, 2014 primary election, Act 2011-673 requires an Alabama voter to have a specific type of photo identification at the polls in order to vote. If a voter does not have one of the approved forms of photo ID as stated in the law, then he or she may receive a free Alabama photo voter ID from various locations.

You may obtain a free Alabama photo voter ID card at one of the following locations:
