Interesting notes coming from the Pentagon as reported by the news:
It took about a half hour to launch the 60 missles (one fell into the sea). Apparently they can either regulate the flight speed or make them circle the target because they all hit within 2-3 minutes of each other.

The "loiter" feature is pretty cool. It's incredible what we put into missiles. It's not just fuel and a warhead. There are guidance systems, boosters, camera, return system data, provide target image, etc...

I remember Rumsfield taking about that feature and also remember seeing cruise missiles flyby some reporters covering the war. Personally thought that would be intimidating as hell seeing a cruise missile loiter.

In this instance, I'd say a one-hour warning was in order. It has been reported that the Russians had special ops personnel and helicopters at that airfield. Killing a dozen special ops Russians might have kind of pissed off the Russians and made our artillery units around Raqqa and our Ranger unit along the Turkish border juicy targets for the Russians.

We didn't warn the Brits, Union/confederates, Mexicans, Spanish, Germans before attacking. We didn't warn Adolf we're 1 hr from landing in Normandy. This pussy attitude is why we're in a quagmire. If we don't want to hit hit Russians, we don't fire until we know they're clear.
