I registered Republican in HS, but removed myself from the party in during Bush I for no other reason than I did not like to be labeled and didn't care for either party. The older I've become, the more I align with conservative / libertarian ideals, which drives me further away from the current fiasco that is this Republican party. Sure the dems are just as mean-spirited, but I've come to expect that from the dem party. I expected more out of the party of Goldwater....my bad....It's apparant that views such as AZ and I hold are a little too mature for this version of the Republican party....and, speaking for myself, this statement comes from someone who has a picture of himself shotgunning a beer for his sig....shame GOP...
