When the world economy (and the US economy) thrives, it won't matter.JohnStOnge wrote:Of course the phrase "Make America Great Again" is based on a false premise as America is and has been great. But let's talk about whether or not Trump has made America greater or less great. Here's a poll on the way the World perceives us:
http://www.pewglobal.org/2017/06/26/u-s ... eadership/
So like, for instance, when Obama was in office 64% of the people around the world had confidence in the US President and now 22% do.
Now, you might say (as Trump zombies probably will) "we don't care what the world thinks!"
But any objective reading of the results yields the conclusion that the United States has lost credibility by virtue of Trump being elected President. And losing credibility is important.
Plus it's justified. One DOES have to question the credibility of a population of people that would do something like elect Donald Trump as President.
And a strong economy will get Trump re-elected in 2020 like the struggling one did in 2016.

Oh yeah. Electing THAT guy as President REALLY moves the United States being "greater." Right.Mental health experts claimed the President was “paranoid and delusional”, and said it was their “ethical responsibility” to warn the American public about the “dangers” Mr Trump’s psychological state poses to the country.
Speaking at the conference at Yale’s School of Medicine on Thursday, one of the mental health professionals, Dr John Gartner, a practising psychotherapist who advised psychiatric residents at Johns Hopkins University Medical School until 2015, said: “We have an ethical responsibility to warn the public about Donald Trump's dangerous mental illness.”
Dr Gartner, who is also a founding member of Duty to Warn, an organisation of several dozen mental health professionals who think Mr Trump is mentally unfit to be president, said the President's statement about having the largest crowd at an inauguration was just one of many that served as warnings of a larger problem.
“Worse than just being a liar or a narcissist, in addition he is paranoid, delusional and grandiose thinking and he proved that to the country the first day he was President. If Donald Trump really believes he had the largest crowd size in history, that’s delusional,” he added.

Did this medical experts speak or conduct an examination of the President? Ethically, that'd be the thing to do before making a determination about a person's mental health.JohnStOnge wrote:A little old but spot on:

Trump obviously has egocentric and narcissistic qualities
But when I see a media outlet citing medical or psychiatric "professionals" analyzing public figures I generally relegate those pieces to the same level as the Dear Abby page
It's the equivalent to all the noise we saw about Hillary's physical health issues during the campaign - there could well be something wrong but the proof of that isn't going to be found in a tabloid article

I'm not saying you're wrong, but if they did somehow manage to do a MH evaluation on him, it would be both unethical and illegal to share the results with the general public.Ivytalk wrote:Not to mention unethical, according to the AMA.CAA Flagship wrote: Interesting how these "professionals" can be so certain without ever meeting him in person. If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.

Psychiatrists complain that their profession gets no respect, and yet they violate a long-held ethics rule to tell us things about Trump we already know (he's a narcissist, how profound).

It's like how cyclists complain that roads aren't friendly for bicycles and traffic doesn't follow proper rules about bikes, and then when you're sitting at a red light folks on bicycles just pedal right through, ignoring the red lights or stop signs or anything else they should be following.Pwns wrote:Psychiatrists complain that their profession gets no respect, and yet they violate a long-held ethics rule to tell us things about Trump we already know (he's a narcissist, how profound).

Trump is obviously off in the head. Yes I know there are rules about what mental health professionals are supposed to do. But there is a point at which you have to say someone is off in the head when it's obvious.CID1990 wrote:Trump obviously has egocentric and narcissistic qualities

Trump is off in the head. It's obvious. None of you should even NEED mental health professionals opining that to see it.
