That's what I'm holding him to, should he win.
Ya think he’s lost the GHWB era of his memory yet, or is that part still intact?

But then... does anybody really think Biden would be standing for reelection anyway? I mean, the dude could lie his ass off right now... he’s just trying to win one term really

You're getting ahead of me. I'm just worried about taxes and guns. If Biden makes a similar pledge against gun control legislation, I'm totally voting Democrat! I trust him!!

NASA reported Saturday that an asteroid is headed toward Earth one day before U.S. Election Day this year, though the chances of an impact are less than 1 percent.

Scientists labeled the asteroid 2018VP1, and data reveals its diameter is 0.002 kilometers, or about 6.5 feet, CNN reported.

The celestial object was first discovered at the Palomar Observatory in California in 2018.

The nose of the camel is under the tent. As I noted earlier in my post about Wyden’s proposal to tax unrealized capital gains, politically unrestrained Democrats will tax everything that moves. And a lot that doesn’t.

As it is, “nondiscrimination” regulations require that employers design their plans to ensure that the amount of benefit received by lower-income workers is not too much less, proportionately, than highly-compensated employees, even though the latter are more likely to save and receive matches. The entire system is designed on the expectation that employers’ concerns lie largely with their higher earners and that they must be regulated into offering similar benefits to their lower earners. Would they be more likely, in these alternate circumstances (especially if benefits are capped and quite limited for higher earners), to simply boost pay instead so that these workers can seek out other forms of tax-advantaged investing?
This paragraph is grossly inaccurate. We offer a 401k with a 6% match of 50 cents on the dollar. 96% (NINETY SIX PERCENT) of our employees save at 6% or greater. This is most certainly NOT a program that is “concerned...with higher earners”....in fact 401ks expressly limit tax free contributions explicitly to prevent higher wage earners from deferring large amounts of income to future years (where presumably you will be in a lower tax bracket).

That being said, this is reason #5,239,996,345,923 NOT to vote for Biden or his ilk.

Why don't they make it easier to deduct IRA contributions and encourage education about the importance of investing for the future. They could ask Patrick Mahomes to be a spokesperson. He told Peter King - “For me,” Mahomes said, “it was about building generational wealth, wealth for my kids and my kids’ kids.”

Why does it always have to be let's lower all the boats to the same level rather than let's find ways to encourage and help people raise their boats?

Because they're too busy requiring things like gender studies as part of general education requirements at universities instead of personal finance classes. :ohno:

Agreed. Personal savings should be encouraged. The problem is the economy is also built on consumer spending.

There is some truth to the criticsm - a couple of the founders of BLM are marxists, Bernie Sanders is a socialist who has expressed admiration for the USSR, etc. Why does Bernie get a pass when Trump gets roasted for sympathizing with dictators? Why is it ok to call Trump and Republicans Nazis but you can't call liberals pursuing socialist ideologies Marxists?

Sweet Moses, the Dems will try as hard as they can to lose this election. Between Joe saying he'll shut the country down again (and even more completely this time) and possibly cutting 401k, sheesh, maybe the basement campaign is the right strategy - say as little as possible and hope people don't ask. :ohno:

In some threads, you argue for a strict definition of socialism where it is essentially a synonym for communism: full state control of the economy, abolishment of private property, etc. and that social programs like social security, Medicare, SNAP, etc. aren't socialist because they don't meet your definition of socialism.

Then in other threads (like above) you say Bernie Sanders is a socialist. Can you tell me what policies Bernie advocates for that meets the definition of socialism you usually use? Or explain your inconsistency?
