Biden has moved a little to the left rhetorically and on sone issues but do has the country hence the corporations following suit. Like I used to try and remind sone of you, the middle is a moving target.
There’s hypocrisy if both are equally true. They’re clearly not. Agree with you on the gerrymandering and divisiveness tho. The plagues of a two party system that leaves very few good options.
They're not equally true ... Sanders is an avowed socialist. AOChe was/is a member of the DSA. They promote socialist political policies and views. They're closer to Marxists/communists than trump and his minions who are wannabe tinpot, banana republic dictators not competent enough to call themselves fascists.
But yes, Biden has indeed moved us left, and back toward the center, on the scope of government. Covid had something to do with it, and some of it has to do with deferred infrastructure investment, defense spending, etc.
Sanders is a democratic socialist…similar to FDR and the Nordic’s. Heaven forbid. But we’re still short of that regarding minimum wage or family maternity leave or vacations. AOC is further to the left. But even she disappoints some lefties these days by the Dem Progressive Caucus not putting up more of a fight.
I don’t see either banning books, targeting the innocent, and threatening to overturn ejections.
I suppose there’s still time.
