They give quite generously to those that push through legislation that benefits the company. What I don't see on the payouts is anyone or anything outside who the RNC and DNC approve. The people don't get a choice.

It has everything to do with this and many other debates. Your go to response to any criticism of trump is tDS, "but trump" or similar. Whose opinion of trump is more objective? If you held a gun to my head and forced me to choose:
- in 2016, I would have chosen trump. I knew they both were narcissistic, egomaniacal, sociopathic con artists but I was willing to give trump a chance because he was more of an unknown.
- in 2020, I would have chosen Biden. It turned out that trump was just as much of an narcissistic, egomaniacal, sociopathic con artist as Hillary. I knew what we were getting and I didn't like it.
