Yes, with SEVEN TIMES as many cases. Death rate is almost unmeasurable at this point.

They had to wait until after the election to release that info.
Trump is still President until January 20th. He gets the credit.
Don't play dense. There was a reason Pfizer waited until after the election. You know damn well if Pfizer released it a week earlier, that likely would have flipped a couple of those states that are close. (Last I heard, Biden was up in 5 states by less than 1%) and flipped the election.

So f*ck Pfizer and their vaccine..

Yes, Trump will be out of office, so he can't kill anymore don't you think 300,000 (likely 400,000 by the time he is booted from the White House) is enough death?
USA: 300,000 of 328.2 million is 0.09%

New York State: 33,314 of 19.415 million is 0.17%

If I'm doing the math right, Cuomo has killed his constituents at nearly twice the rate of Trump.
If you remove NY from the equation, its more like 3X..

The contract for the vaccine was publicized in July, so don't play asshole on this. Vaccine would not have made that big of difference, as most of the early voting was already done. Those are the votes that put Biden over the top.

It didn't need to make that big a difference with all those states decided by less than 1%. The biggest announcement on the China virus front just happens to come after the election. If you think that was just a coincidence, then I've got some oceanfront property in N Dakota to sell you.

We'll have to agree to disagree, as there was still 60+ million people that voted on election day, including most of the undecideds. Historic low (only 6%) but they typically vote at the last minute. Current differences for Biden: GA .2%,AZ .4%, WI .6%, PA .7%.

Are you going to complain about the timing of this announcement the way Donks complained about the timing of Comey's announcement on newly discovered emails on Hillary's server?

Pfizer's leadership can make this announcement whenever they want.

They could've made an announcement before the election and you could argue that would've been politically motivated as well. So any announcement, at any time, could be assailed as being politically motivated. Doesn't get us anywhere, but it gives partisans things to bicker over for sure.

The further it was made from the election, the less politically motivated it would have be seen. If the If they weren't ready in Sept to announce, then waiting until Dec wouldn't have hurt if the vaccine isn't going to be begin being disbursed until middle of next year..

Covid. Officially 245K, but the CDC excess deaths indicate that at least another 60-100K likely died from COVID but were never tested, so not apart of the official numbers

Officially 237k as of now:

And bullshit on an additional 60-100k. If anything, the 237k is inflated.

Let’s not forget the 50-100K who’ve died of OTHER diseases/lack of medical care because of the unnecessary lockdowns.

Trump went after the pharmaceutical industry, so it makes sense they would delay their report.

While I can't so how much Trump hurt the industry, he was one of the few to do anything in regards to their price gouging of Americans.

He went after Medicare pricing as well, which is the golden calf of insurance payouts.

Well, I tend to agree with him. Despite the world’s best efforts, lockdowns, shutdowns, masks and social distancing don’t appear to do much to stop/slow the spread. And short of locking down the entire world simultaneously for an extended period, I’m not sure how else you would stop it, other then letting it run its course. And it would require literally EVERY country’s cooperation, otherwise, you’re just delaying the inevitable.

I agree, if you have a Taiwan or New Zealand situation, where you have absolute control of all borders and a relatively small and isolated population, then masking and distancing, coupled with contact tracing, work perfectly. Most countries aren't isolated like them and can't just pull up the drawbridge like they did and still have up. I think you're seeing the limits of masking and distancing - even in places where this was done well - the Northeast in the US after say July, Germany, etc, you're still seeing spikes now. You can limit the spread, but with this one you can't perfectly contain it unless you shut it all down for a really extended period, and I don't think you can get cooperation for that, assuming you wanted to do that. The vaccine is the only endgame.

Just like Cuomo and Wolf deserve criticism, so do all of the governors and Trump who did too little and all of the people who took unnecessary social risks.

Perhaps our selfishness/greed made the death tolls inevitable but I’d like to think we could individually do better and could have saved lives with better leadership. There’s a middle there somewhere and we are not even close. In fact we’re probably the worst.

For those who think it’s still just the flu.

Anxiety, insomnia and depression are legit concerns of lockdowns. They are also legit concerns of Covid patients. One in five are sufferers according to a new study. This also includes indications that dementia is probably a symptom for some as well...
