Trump has definitely hurt race relations. Trump only cares about himself and while I don't think he's racist himself he is definitely capable of egging on white supremacists if they will adore him for it.

As I've said before, the story of Obama is a story of missed opportunities. He could have done so much to help heal racial divisions in this country and rather than using his pulpit to recognize both sides he took the easy way out.

Racism is unfortunately still a factor but it isn't the only factor and I don't think it's the primary factor (chances of success are greater if one is born in a middle-class, black family than if they're born in a poor, white family).
