Is it me, or is this William Levitt story Trump's telling the Boy Scouts completely inappropriate? Levitt is infamous for stipulating that blacks couldn't purchase or live in his developments. Who tells children a cautionary tale of Levitt...where the point is that they shouldn't lose their drive like Levitt did?

He couldn't choose ANY other tale of caution? :?

BTW, so I don't have to start a new thread I'll say it here: I watched some of that Boy Scouts speech on CNN. And as I did that idiot Trump literally started talking about how the media won't show how big the crowd is while CNN is panning the crowd to show how big it is. I kid you not.

Mind you, the "mainstream media" have NEVER sought to downplay the sizes of crowds he's had. There was all kinds of stuff about how big his campaign rally crowds were all along.

Now, they DID call him out with respect to him saying he had the biggest inauguration crowd ever. But that was just the truth. He and his people saying that was just clearly false.

But the mainstream media have NEVER downplayed or ignored the sizes of crowds he's had.

What's the over/under on Sessions resigning? I know he said he wouldn't but Trump has 3 times, publicly called him into question. Trump seems to be too much of a pussy to fire him.

I disagree with Sessions, but I hope he doesn't resign so it eats into Trump's ego some more before the walls finally close in. Like everything else, he seems to think the AG works for him instead of the People.

I'll let Perfesser GannonFan, a/k/a "Mr. Know-It-All," critique the historical analysis.

But, you have to admire how Drumpf pirouetted from the Russkies winning 5 wars in cold weather to "the economy is doing great."
That wasn't a historical analysis, it was more akin to rambling. I'm not sure Trump has ever really analyzed anything, other than the obvious sexual harassment targets.

Chris Cillizza's articles on CNN are sometime humorous. He takes on Trump a lot (it's CNN, after all) but he will also call out the Democrats as well as HRC. He's not as biased as others are (but biased to be sure.) Here is his article on Trumps speech to the BSA.

The 29 most cringe-worthy lines from Donald Trump's hyper-political speech to the Boy Scouts

http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/25/politics/ ... index.html
2. "I said, 'Who the hell wants to speak about politics when I'm in front of the Boy Scouts?' Right?"
Trump, apparently. He spent the VAST majority of this speech jabbing at his political foes and recounting his 2016 successes.
4. "Many of my top advisers in the White House were Scouts. Ten members of my Cabinet were Scouts. Can you believe that? Ten."
One of them is Eagle Scout and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who Trump neither brought along on the trip or mentioned in his speech.
5. "Some of you here tonight might even have camped out in this yard when Mike was the governor of Indiana, but the scouting was very, very important."
Your guess is as good as mine.
13. "Oh, you're Boy Scouts, but you know life. You know life. So -- look at you."
???????
22. "I went to Maine four times because it's one vote, and we won. But we won -- one vote. I went there because I kept hearing we're at 269."
He's speaking to teenagers gathered for their annual Jamboree in West Virginia. And he's talking about how Maine splits its two electoral votes by congressional district.
Listening to the speech and then reading the comments will make you laugh. Chuckle. Guffaw. LAWLZ...whatever.

Who is "you"? Me? White people in general? You continue to say this but never man up and answer the question when I ask it. Surely you aren't referring to me. Actually, I can only think of 2 people that probably voted for Trump - BDK and AlphaGriz. Most other posters on here either didn't vote or voted 3rd party with the few that voted for Clinton (dback, Trip, JSO).

I'm interested in your response. :coffee:

Or like me, just didn't vote.

Do you even know what the fuck you are talking about? YOU QUOTED A POST ABOUT UNIONS LOSING AND I RESPONDED TO THAT! And if you'd open your fucking eyes and brain and read you'd see that I do not support Trump. I didn't vote for him. I wouldn't vote for him. I make no excuses for him. He's President and I hope he succeeds and that's where I stop.

I voted for Trump in the Presidential Election (Kasich in primary).
I'm a policy voter and his policies lean in a much better direction than Hillary's.

what guilt?

Seriously though, if you're not going to be a man and answer a question, you should stop making comments that require follow up. It's a simple question. Who were you talking to? Why can't you answer it? Is it b/c my suspicions are correct and you're grouping all white people into the same boat?

1) that's bs. Obama did some good and bad things during his time. Most POTUS' have. I don't need to admonish people on here b/c they don't care. There's no benefit to saying, " You be nice to Mr. Obama." I've spoken up when people like AZ or AlphaGriz make stupid comments against Michelle's weight or something personal that doesn't relate to the business of the nation. But criticizing his policies were fair game.
2) Robin Hood for Trump supporters? I'm not sure what that means. :dunce:

You obviously have problems with reading comprehension. I routinely criticize Trump.

Btw, you still haven't answered the question. What are you afraid of? Confirmation that you are in fact a racists and think all white people are the same? Are you teaching your son this racism? :ohno: :ohno:
