I’m a physician who has looked at hundreds of studies of vaccine safety, and here’s some of what RFK Jr. gets wrong
From a safety standpoint, the more important question is whether today’s schedule with additional vaccines might be too taxing for children’s immune systems. It isn’t, because as vaccine technology improved over the past several decades, the number of antigens in each vaccine dose is much lower than before.
...
Kennedy has asserted that only COVID-19 vaccines have undergone rigorous safety trials in which they were tested against placebos. This is categorically wrong.
...
Kennedy has insisted on multiple occasions that “nobody has any idea” about vaccine safety profiles. Of the 378 trials in our database, the vast majority published detailed safety outcomes.
...
On June 9, Kennedy took the unprecedented step of dissolving vetted members of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, the expert body that advises the CDC on national vaccine policy. He has claimed repeatedly that the vast majority of serving members of the committee – 97% – had extensive conflicts of interest because of their entanglements with the pharmaceutical industry. Kennedy bases that number on a 2009 federal audit of conflict-of-interest paperwork, but that report looked at 17 CDC advisory committees, not specifically this vaccine committee. And it found no pervasive wrongdoing – 97% of disclosure forms only contained routine paperwork mistakes, such as information in the wrong box or a missing initial, and not hidden financial ties.
...
Kennedy has warned that vaccines cause “immune deregulation,” a term that has no basis in immunology. Vaccines train the immune system, and the diseases they prevent are the real threats to immune function.

Measles can wipe immune memory, leaving children vulnerable to other infections for years. COVID-19 can trigger multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children. Chronic hepatitis B can cause immune-mediated organ damage. Preventing these conditions protects people from immune system damage.

Today’s vaccine panel doesn’t just prevent infections; it deters doctor visits and thereby reduces unnecessary prescriptions for “just-in-case” antibiotics. It’s one of the rare places in medicine where physicians like me now do more good with less biological burden than we did 40 years ago.

The evidence is clear and publicly available: Vaccines have dramatically reduced childhood illness, disability and death on a historic scale.

Watchdog has evidence Hegseth's Signal messages on Yemen strikes included info from classified email
Key information in the messages was derived from a classified email marked "SECRET//NOFORN," said the two officials, who both requested anonymity to speak about an ongoing investigation into top Trump administration officials.

The "SECRET" designation means that the information was classified and the disclosure of this information could potentially cause serious damage to national security, potentially jeopardizing the safety of service members. The "NOFORN" label means the information can only be disseminated to U.S. agencies and individuals, excluding foreign nationals and even close U.S. allies.

The Washington Post first reported about the Defense Department's Office of Inspector General receiving the evidence on Wednesday.
...
But the two U.S. officials with knowledge of the evidence received by the Pentagon's watchdog office told CBS News on Wednesday that the information Hegseth posted in the encrypted Signal chat group was derived from a classified email sent out by Gen. Michael "Erik" Kurilla to dozens of defense officials. Kurilla oversees U.S. Central Command, which is the primary Defense Department organization responsible for conducting U.S. military operations in the Middle East.
I don't think it was supposed to be shared with reporters and family members.

Liars are just as bad as anonymous so they too = nothing
trump, vance, hegseth, biondi, noem, etc. are known liars.

FTR, anonymous sources are an extremely important part of reporting. They are necessary to protect sources who fear retaliation (which trump has already demonstrated he is quite willing to resort to) and they help protect the public from a government that pushes the boundaries and does things they aren't supposed to do - like releasing top secret information in a chat.

Why do trump and MAQA yahoos want to discredit anonymous sources? Why do they fear public scrutiny?

Hegseth’s ousting of female leaders may have ‘chilling effect’ at Pentagon
That trend, coupled with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s well-documented antipathy toward women in combat roles prior to becoming Pentagon chief, could have a chilling effect on women enlisting in the armed forces, experts say.

“It’s hard not to come to the conclusion that it’s going to weaken our military force by undermining the role of women who have become, I believe, an intrinsic part of our military capability,” said Leon Panetta, a former Defense secretary in the Obama administration.

Panetta, who in 2013 announced that all combat roles would soon be open to women — a shift that eventually came in 2015 — told The Hill that the Trump administration’s removal of female leaders from the ranks, often without explanation, will have impacts on morale for female service members.

“Just to remove commanders from their positions without cause sends a clear signal that this is not about merit, it’s not about performance, it’s about the fact that they’re women. It’s the only conclusion you can come to,” he said.
Either he doesn't care or it's intentional.

It's hard to defend that it's not about women. Especially with this recent one, the Superintendent at the Naval Academy. She was/is a fantastic leader and has performed extremely well in that role. There was no basis, other than being a woman, for them to replace her at this time (she had about 1-2 years left of normal service time). At least with Davids, she's being re-upped as a 3-star Admiral and she's getting a position as a deputy chief of Naval Operations. It's a lateral move, and maybe one that could lead to something more, but at least unlike the Coastal Academy head or the Chief of Naval Operations, she'll still have a job.

:suspicious: With anonymous sources there‘s almost no way to verify, without named sources, whether it’s 100% true, 100% BS the reporter just made up, or somewhere in between.

This guy is a fucking liar. His definition of placebo is anything that doesn't have the active component. It can still have the preservative or adjuvant.

In addition, the safety window is usually only 30 days or less and I'm being very generous.

Why? Because I personally benefit from and know many others who rely upon the true experts who receive the education, put in the research, and make the discoveries vs. Joe Blow from Seattle who has a biology degree.

Why? These are just the type of guys that have been wrong about everything and never held accountable for being wrong or ever apologize for being wrong. They just make a living off being wrong.
Why? Because I personally benefit from and know many others who rely upon the true experts who receive the education, put in the research, and make the discoveries vs. Joe Blow from Seattle who has a biology degree.

Mistrust of institutional knowledge is a hallmark of those lacking critical thinking skills during a historical crisis period.
From what I’ve noticed, you picked the ones that don’t really tell you everything
