Hegseth Says Department of Defense Needs $1.5 Trillion Budget

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced before a Senate committee Tuesday that the gravest threat facing the United States is a Department of Defense that is funded below $1.5 trillion, the largest military expenditure in U.S. and world history. When Hegseth became Defense Secretary the budget of the Department was $841 billion.

So much for rooting out waste, fraud and corruption. Where's elon musk and doge when you need them?

Or as Senator john kennedy said "They’re like everybody else up here. Their favorite type of spending is more. There’s not a money fairy up here."
