..after hearing about the shootings at Ft. Hood and the other incidents in Iraq, etc. I am really starting to distrust Arabs or Americans who are of Arab decent. I know it is wrong but if I was in the military I would be very nervous about being around these people becuase you never know if they are going to go off in the name of "alla". It ticks me off that these people are making me feel this way but I have to be honest that it is happening? Any of you feeling this way...?

Yep I don't have a problem with religious freedom until the bullets start flying. As soon as I heard this guy's name I started thinking that it was religious-based, and I was right again. I don't know at what point you're a racist or just noticing the obvious.

Do we know anything about his religion yet? I lived 10 years as a kid near the East side of Detroit and there was a large number of people living there whose families were from the middle east. Large numbers of them were Christian.

So to answer your question, no. I'm not going to start being paranoid and suspicious of someone simply if he talks funny.

Got it. But sorry, I'm still not going to suspect everyone involved with a religion, based on the acts of a few. If we start that, Christianity doesn't seem all too loving at times either.

I don't think his motive is clear yet. He was going to be deployed late this month. He was not thrilled about it. That could be the reason.

It's all speculation right now until they get him off the ventilator. I can understand being upset about deployment, but why go after a bunch of unarmed guys standing in line? The guy had a death wish it seems given that he gave away all his belongings, but it wasn't granted.

Anybody else take note that he's a Virginia Tech grad? Seems like a lot of violent acts have been connected over the last couple of years to that school.

Peaceful Christians, are not peaceful.
The US Army has been infiltrated by terrorists.
If a soldier does not want to be deployed, he is justified in killing people.

I don't know why he would do it. I don't know how anyone murders anyone. I can't rationalize it. He obviously wasn't rational when he did it.

The only thing we KNOW is that some guy killed a bunch of folks on an army base. The rest is all speculation.

Muslim family lives in the neighborhood. I am not worry about them in the least. Now the dude with the confederate flag hanging off the side of his house scares me a little.

It's sad... Two people from my home town killed earlier this year, disappearance earlier this month, and now this guy. School is cursed.

Time to go to rehab, now that it is confirmed....

My point being, I know all Muslims are not terrorists and that was not my point.. I am just ticked of the pattern that is taking shape inside the military and the way it is making me think.
