Unfortunately, I think it is not a winnable war and I was almost hoping he played to his liberal supports and just pulled out of both major wars, the african horn, and the philippines and called it a day.

Who was the last person to conquer that country? Many countries have lost many lives trying to conquer that area. Alexander the Great didn't have an easy time taking it. The Islamic and Mongolian conquests weren't walks in the park, if memory serves me correct.

We need wars to keep our economy afloat. Get used to it guys......it's gonna be like that from now on no matter who is in office.

Well, until someone can actually articulate what winning is, it's not a lack of will, but an inability to focus & prioritize.....if someone beats his head against the wall, is it lack of will that keeps the wall from failling?

It may have been before you were born; let me refresh your memory: women's rights in Afghanistan became very important to the Bush admin within days of the Taliban deciding they were opposed to Cheney's friends in UNOCAL building an oil pipeline through Afghanistan.
