Wasn't really sure where' to put this but I thought it could get political...

Ole Mississippi's Chancellor wants to stop a historic song, "From Dixie with Love," because it triggers a large number of fans to chant "The South Will Rise Again." However, the song is a long-time Ole Miss tradition, but the chant has been a recent thing. Donors are complaining, and the Chancellor thinks it makes others uncomfortable at games.

What do you guys think? Is the chant appropriate; is it really harmful to the school's image? Or is the Chancellor wrong to take away such a traditional song if this doesn't stop?

I really like the tune of the song and Ole Miss is drenched deep in tradition, so in that respect, I want them to keep it. But I don't understand why they would chant "The South will Rise Again." It's just really corny and stupid if you ask me. But if some Ole Miss fans wanna perpetuate the social stigma of their school, hey, who am I to stop 'em?

Better take a closer look at where the military bases tend to be in this country...and which part of the country has the highest rate of gun ownership...and which geographic region produces the most NFL players.

States Rights? I'm all for it. I think every State should have more rights and not have to cave in to the threats of the gov't for assistance. Will it happen? No, because all the SOB's we've elected will not give up the power. This is the world we live in.
