According to The New Foreign Policy, even with a recent pay raise, an Afghan police officer starts out at $165 per month, compared with the $440 a month the Taliban is paying it's footsoldiers...

So if we really want to build up the Afghan forces...pay them more than the guys they are fighting...you'll get more "volunteers"...

If this country had any balls, it would pull all soldiers out and announce to Afghan's that any vehicle, plane, etc leaving it's borders will be blown to hell as the rest of the world can only assume it's a terrorist until they clean their own house....over-the-top & simplistic? yes...but effctive...at least for us...
