That could be really good or really scary, depending on who their leader is.

Good in theory on a poll, let us see how that translates to reality once people realize the nuts running the show.

That's a mean-spirited and inaccurate left wing stereotype that the 41% do not accept of themselves, dbj.

Most Dems might buy into your propaganda, but only the most liberal Republicans are likely to do so. The only reason the Tea Party stands at 41% is because most independents have already aligned themselves with the Tea Party.

Go ahead and call names.

No - there are radical CRACKPOTS running the show over there. Once Independents figure out that they have very little in common with the teabaggers, and are horrified by the stances that most of the teabaggers espouse, they will be lucky to poll the Bush 20%

He was probably busy working and contributing to the economy, unlike tea baggers.

The Republican party drops below 30%...
How does the party that's NOT in power lose favor - I guess all that blubbering and whimpering has not paid off as much as I thought it would...

What, has it never occurred to you that if these people were really so productive and independent, that they should have something better to do during the middle of the day than stand around and call Obama a socialist? Just sayin'. :coffee:

Did you watch them on TV? I would say that the majority are retired, business owners, housewives. :geek:

Also, unlike the truly useless left wing nuts who schedule such rallies and protests during the work week, many of the tea party events were on weekends or holidays. :ugeek:

Jon, you are delusional. The public correctly perceives the "nuts running the show" to be the incumbent leftists in the Congress and Administration, not the Tea Party activist who showed up at Town hall meetings to oppose the health care monstrosity.

dback, if the Teabaggers endorsed gay marriage, you'd dress up like Colonel Lipton and vote a straight (no pun intended) T-bag ticket! :coffee:

Jon, man when did you get so hate-filled over people who disagree with you? Besides, why are throwing Travis and Appa under the bus dissing teabaggers?

You mean nuts have difficulty accepting they are nuts? Who'd a thunk?

And if I'm not mistaken, the 41% represents an approval rating not people who have neccessarily "aligned" themselves with the tea party.

The problem for the Tea Party is it has no candidates or an established platform beyond we are pissed off at the low hanging fruit. But as wedge has pointed out a couple of times, I'm quite sure the insurance companies are pleased with the tea bag efforts, and the banks probably are as well.

Quick question, if we only socialized health insurance and left manufacturing and the service side of the industry private would it still be considered socialized medicine? :thumb:

Which kind of makes you wonder: Why aren't the Republicans benefiting from all those grass-roots anger at the Democrats?
Tea baggers are just a fad, they are all good conks and will line up lock-step come the primaries and general election of 2010. Dems will lose seats in congress, but there will be no emergence of a legit 3rd party. They are just rabble rousing to get attention and feel relevent now that W is gone.
