The system is broken. No doubt about it. I spent most of last Thursday, Friday and Saturday in airports (LAX, PHoenix, Atlanta) and i NEVER saw them pull aside anyone under the age of 75. EVERY SINGLE PERSON I saw identified for further screening needed a fucking walker or a wheelchair. Apparently they had some "hot" tip about the elderly terrorists....

Dear visitor, you will be thorougly searched in every nook, cranny, and orifice prior to boarding a flight to our country. In fact, you may be required to fly nude.

This also may include some US citizens who seek re-entry.

If you're pissed, blame the dumbass muslim extremists.

Right after 9-11, at least half of all "middle eastern" looking passengers received "additional screening" when boarding. That's not to say caucasions, blacks, asians, etc. didn't also receive additional screening, but all middle-eastern looking, or Islamic named passsengers got an extra look.

Then...the ACLU sued...and the libs collapsed in PC acquiesence.

Call it profiling if it makes you feel more righteous, but if my hair is magenta, and people with magenta colored hair are going around blowing up planes, then I would fully expect airplane security to search me thoroughly every time I board a plane. That's not racist...that's common sense.

It's just unbelievable that some people think that putting ay-rab looking folk through more security makes people feel safer, but actually arming the airline pilots actually makes them feel less safe.

They used to give the criminals extra preventative security checks at customs and airports, now it's anybody they want to hassle in a random or moody fashion.

Let's quit screwing around. Time to go into Saudi Arabia and have a chat with all the mullahs preaching that the United States and western culture is the great Satan. If they don't want to play nice it's time to give them their wish and send them to see Allah, preferably with a piece of pork in their mouth when they exit this world.

Unfortunately, what you were witnessing was the older folks getting pulled aside because of their hip implants and other such things that make the metal detectors go off. Old people get pulled over all the time for separate screening.

And as other folks have posted, thanks to the PC freaks we can't make rational decisions on who to search.

Because when their asshole buddies find them with the pork in their mouths they'll know their dead friend didn't get to meet Allah and the virgins. And they will know they are next.

They already hate us. I don't think it can get much worse. Plus if we start eliminating all the big shots that preach the hate and encourage the young males to kill themselves by blowing themselves up they might think twice before preaching the hate. That or they will be too busy looking over their shoulders to continue their "education".

Let's just outlaw flying altogether. Think of the energy savings alone.

You should read the book "Three Cups of Tea" by Greg Mortenson if you want to find the most effective way to marginalize the madrassas. He's done more to win the war on terror than Bush and Obama combined.

I'm half-arab and it's actually not as bad as people make it out to be. I mean, I get pulled aside all the time, but as long as I'm not doing anything wrong, I'll be fine. Most people don't travel on the airlines often anyways (about 3-4/yr for me), and really, what's an extra 2-3 minute search (5-10 minutes for my mom 'cause she wears the head scarf) when you're at an airport? I can bitch and moan about it (like I've seen others do), or just get it over with and enjoy the rest of the day. I have no problem with it; better be safe than sorry.
