They are evacuating the NASDAQ headquarters. After what has happened with the economy the last few years, I think they should have to stay - just in case it is a real bomb. :D

Looks like the immediate threat is over.......people being allowed back into the NASDAQ.

Wonder if this van was placed there to see how officials/police react.....??? :poke:

That was my take, too. Political heads would've rolled had the van exploded on New Year's Eve after three days on site.

Very weird - but not completely surprising.

The van was parked in a block of Broadway between 41st and 42nd that is partially blocked off all the time now. Broadway is permanently closed North (its a 1-way street that runs south) so there is almost zero traffic there. Thus, its the place that vans are parked for deliveries.

Still very weird to me. And a bit scary as I walk by that spot twice a day to an from my office.
