Yes but the cooling is caused by the warming. So if we want less cooling we need to have less warming which will make things cooler which won't be caused by the warming but rather by the residual effect of the cooler warmth.

And before anyone else makes the obvious observation that this would also result in most of my own state being submerged as well, I will remind you that I live in the Upstate, so it won't bother me. Way I look at it, we rid ourselves of the citadel. California and the citadel? Sounds like a win-win. And besides, I always wanted to live at the beach. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait a little longer.

One thing he is right about is the historical 30 year cycle. If it holds true like it has over about the last 250 years (and more), then we are due to cool down. I am looking forward to the winters of my childhood, quite frankly.

I try to stay away from conspiracy theories, but when you see these hedge fund guys who can manipulate a market almost by themselves, you have to wonder what some of the really "old" money is capable of doing.
