I'm flipping through the various TV news channels and one was just talking about a $399,939 research grant that was awarded to two researchers (one at UVa and one at U of Michigan) under the federal stimulus program.

The purpose of the study is to answer the question: "If you spend stimulus money on research grants, what will be the net result of spending stimulus money on research grants?"

Estimated new jobs created by this study: 0

I think your estimate is wrong. How many people will be working on this study? ;)

That is what the news outlet had on their graphic. I'll assume the researchers already had jobs with the schools.

Sure, they already have jobs, but a question this esoteric cannot be resolved without hiring some hot, young co-eds as assistants.

God bless co-ed interns! My last job didn't have them but my current one does. The best looking one was a Towson student in fact. Andy would be proud.
