When President Obama's Kenyan aunt appears before a U.S. immigration judge in Boston today, she says she will literally be making the case for her life.
Zeituni Onyango, 56, is fighting a 2004 deportation order by seeking asylum in this country – a status granted to those who cannot return home out of fear of being persecuted.
But just what persecution Onyango claims to face and whether a judge will find her fears well-founded is uncertain. Onyango first applied for asylum in 2002 "due to violence in Kenya" but was denied and ordered to leave the country.
Instead of returning home, the woman who helped raise the president's half brothers and sister in Kenya and whom Obama affectionately referred to as "Auntie Zeituni" in his memoir, has remained illegally in Boston, living in subsidized public housing.

Send her home. She can always return on a tourist visa & by the time INS catches up to deport her, Obama should be finished with his 2nd term....

She stays. Any of you would use whatever power you had to help out a family member. You don't sell out family.

So why isn't Obama helping her financially? You can't tell me he is strapped for cash after his two books.

Maybe she sucks w/ money. I don't know. We can speculate all day about that. What I know is he's damned if she does stay and he's damned if she doesn't.

Sure we would as a family member, but he cannot as the #1 law enforcement official of this country....the presidential office HAS to be bigger than his personal or family considerations for the next 4-8 yrs...

Can BHO give her amnesty by Presidential decree??? Or perhaps "political asylum?"
She shoulda' claimed to be Mexican, then nobody woulda' cared and she could have got a job mowing grass or in housekeeping.

The article I read yesterday said that she was a programmer. Don't know what kind of programmer, because the programmers that work for my company sure don't live in government assisted homes.
I would like to add that we pay our programmers shit, as we are a laboratory, not a software company.
