This one is for all you who keep touting BHO as some sort of genius.

Seems Obama doesn't even know what a Corpsman is.

Enjoy the video.

Yes he was. That was on par with any Bushism you will find. I guess Obama needs a teleprompter that sounds out the words as well, or better yet; let the teleprompter do the talking. Obama might end up sounding like Stephen Hawking, but he'll pronounce everything correctly.

I never bought the theory that Obama was any kind of genius. Every week he proves my original theory that his only skill of note is the ability to read a teleprompter.

As long as his teleprompter stays away from words that aren't spoken the same way that they are spelled out phonetically.

Exactly. So maybe this boils down to which teleprompter writers were worse.

Nope. Not this one. Corpsman is pronounced one way only. He simply got ahead of himself and missed the word. Sadly, I don't think he even noticed that he flubbed the pronunciation at all.

I will contend that this doesn't rise to the level of W. He was a special kind of stupid. But I can somewhat give him a pass. He couldn't help it. I guess I hold BO to a higher standard.

Agreed. I was trying to cover my ass.

After all, actions speak louder than words. And on that issue both Bush and Obama are dissappointing.

I kind of see that too. Bush always tried to come off as "folksy", so it was okay when he screwed up. Obama tries to come off as being smart, so the standard is a little higher for him.

One of among many dissappointments. Although not surprising.

I will point out that smart doesn't necessarily make someone a good President. Jimmy Carter may have been one of the smartest Presidents that we've ever had.

Obama is the FRICKEN Commander in Chief! He should, at the VERY least, know how to pronounce Corpsman.

Now, if Hillary would just push the "overcharge" button again and give BHO another chance.

Want to say Bush wasn't that bad? He did give us countless hours of comedy relief, that during a war and after an attack is needed. :twocents: :coffee:
