Got a gun in my pants, but no license - but make no mistake, it's a loaded weapon...

The outdoors is my shepherd, I shall hunt and fish,
It maketh me to lie prone at the edge of green meadows,
It leadeth me to the running waters,
It restocks my favorite hole,
It leads me in the paths of elk,
For it's bacon wrapped steak,

Even though I walk through the valley of bears and wolves,
I fear no evil, for my Model 700 is with me,
It's barrel and chamber, they comfort me,

Surely good aim and steady trigger will feed me,
All the days of my life,
And I will dwell in the house of the lodge,
Until Sunday night.

Amen

The Wyoming State Legislature is hearing a bill today, Feb. 15, that would allow all state residents who are eligible (living in Wy. for over 6 months, no felony convictions in the U.S., no alcohol/drug related offenses or domestic violence offenses/restraints) pack with out having a permit.

Passes the house by a huge margin, looks like it's headed to the senate. That would leave only those who want to cross some state lines with their pocket rocket needing a state issued permit.

Sure. I had my .40 when I met up with the Col. He bought us a round of beers so I wouldn't have pulled it if we were mugged. Life or death I would have.

I have been following that, and I wish Montana would do the same thing.

I carried in Arizona and Virginia. It was very simple and straightforward to obtain my CCW permit in those states. California was impossible.

I am slowly jumping through all the hoops to get my Delaware permit. They try to wear you out to get one here. No credit is given for equivalent military firearms training if you are no longer active duty, the required firearms and safety training is lengthy and expensive, five reference questionnaires are required from non-family residents of the state, publication of your application (to include your home address) in a local newspaper for at least ten days is required, full fingerprinting and background check must be purchased in addition to application fees, then there is review, approval, and issuance by the Prothonotary’s office. The whole process takes about six months and $500 if you press through.

I wasn't so intent on getting one when I moved back ten years ago due to all the hurdles, but crime has gone up significantly in the past few years in the area and I think it's time.

Delaware has reciprocity with Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Maine, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia and West Virginia.

One interesting tidbit is that once you get a Delaware CCW, you can get a non-resident CCW from Pennsylvania in about two weeks for just $26, and that one has reciprocity with Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming. :thumb:

So, once I get the Delaware CCW, I should be good in 28 states in short order.

I used to carry but I didn't have a permit, sold all my guns when the twins were born.

I don't act like a pussy and nobody hassles me, works great.

Very true.

Guy is so inept he cant keep guns away from his twins. At least he knows hes a poor choice of person to be procreating.
