Family Guy’ Voice Actor Says Palin ‘Does Not Have a Sense of Humor’
By DAVE ITZKOFF

Andrea Fay FriedmanAndrea Fay Friedman, who has Down syndrome, was a voice actor in a recent episode of “Family Guy” criticized by Sarah Palin.

Since it was shown on Sunday, an episode of the Fox animated comedy “Family Guy” has drawn the repeated condemnation of Sarah Palin, the former Republican governor of Alaska and 2008 vice-presidential nominee.

In the episode, the teenage character Chris dates a girl named Ellen, who has Down syndrome, and who tells him over dinner that her mother is “the former governor of Alaska.” Ms. Palin, whose son Trig also has Down syndrome, has said that the “Family Guy” show “really isn’t funny” and was the work of “cruel, cold-hearted people.” Ms. Palin’s daughter Bristol has written that the “Family Guy” writers were “mocking my brother and my family,” and called them “heartless jerks.”

One person who supports the “Family Guy” staff is Andrea Fay Friedman, the 39-year-old actor and public speaker who played Ellen in that episode. Like the character, Ms. Friedman also has Down syndrome.

You can't get enough of Palin can you?

This whole "controversy" gets put into the "who gives a fuck" category for me...same as Palin.

Yeah, this lady has played in a few of Law and Order:SVU episodes and an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. Exceptional talent and she's right. Sarah Palin is 10 times the media whore Obama is. If she is the best the GOP can put out in 2012, I'll be voting 3rd party for the third out of the past 4 elections.

This isn't new. We had the same thing going on with South Park. And nobody said a word until the writers started screwing with Isaac Hayes's faith. Then he was gone. I'm sure that will happen here, too.

I think this whole Palin obsession is hilarious. I don't think a single thread ABOUT Palin has been started by a board conservative.

I suppose you're planning an extended "vacation" north of the border after Sarah's elected president, kalm?

Not at all. If someone as stupid, incoherent, preachy, irrational, and most of all annoying as Palin were to be elected POTUS, I would stay right at here at home, leading the opposition to those who truly hate America...like Palin.

I would be borrowing Alpha's arsenal and sniping from Cid's compound. :thumb:

Yet you just love Obama while he truly hates and does his best to destroy America....

Sad... :ohno:

I apologize that you missed the hyperbole.

You might not have publicly declared your love for Obama, but with the way you use commondreams, truthdig, huffpo, and other radical left-wing out of touch rags as legitimate "sources" for some of your rants, there is little doubt that if given the opportunity, you would probably at least give Obama a reach around. :thumb:

No, that would be what pent-up latently homosexual conks like yourself do, hoping for some return service.

But I get it, you don't really think I love Obama or that he hates and is doing his best to destroy America.

Get back to me when you start understanding the difference between commentary and news, between opinion and fact. :thumb:

Baldy: What proof do you have that one of the most pro-US military folk out there "hates" America? Is it merely that she doesn't fit your definition of what an American looks like? There's more than YOU in America, dude.

Why is this newsworthy. It definitely isn't thread worthy. Palin is good for a laugh, and maybe a roll in the hay (although who the fuck would want Todd's sloppy seconds), but that's about it.

She was the vice presidential candidate for the United States of America, and she is now a contributor to one of the largest "news" conglomerates in the world, and she is paid $100,000 to speak at political conventions.

She shouldn't be newsworthy or significant, but like it or not, she is.
