Lord knows he has to do something, he is getting drubbed in the ratings. What is really sad, is that his time slot actually had more viewers this last week when he wasn't on! They showed the Olympics.BlueHen86 wrote:Looks to me like Olbermann must really be getting under their skin. I know they think they are getting back at him, but this plays right into Olbermann's hands. Keith will probably play the ad on his show, if he hasn't already done so.
Olbermann's job is to get ratings, this can only help.

All the more reason for the Tea Party to ignore him.SeattleGriz wrote:Lord knows he has to do something, he is getting drubbed in the ratings. Any publicity is good publicity. I don't watch Olbermann and I'm no fan of the Tea Parties either, but I don't see how this ad hurts Olbermann. Maybe both sides benefit from it, I don't know.mcveyrl wrote:BlueHen86 wrote:Looks to me like Olbermann must really be getting under their skin. Look, I hate the tea parties and Olbermann equally. Olbermann got burned. In general, talking heads on both sides of the aisle speak out of complete ignorance of a situation or say whatever their producer feeds them. Olbermann (and MSNBC) got called out on this one.
I don't know why he would play it back on his show. It's a pretty smart (even if poorly produced) response to his comments. Olbermann and his ilk (i.e., talking heads) immediately shut people down when they start to give as good as they get.
Don't know if it hurts Olbermann either, it simply points out the fact he doesn't know what he is talking about in regards to the Tea Party movement. They apparently got tired of him making false accusations and replied.BlueHen86 wrote:Any publicity is good publicity. Took them long enough to respond, must not have been able to find the one that can read.
Wow hound I knew when I started reading this that someone would use this reply I am a fan of your work and really didn't think this would come from you. Your stuff has way more thought put into it. Not trying to hack on ya but that is a mj line if I ever saw one.houndawg wrote:SeattleGriz wrote:

Not to mention that age old liberal mantra of "everything not like us is stoopid".AZGrizFan wrote:Classic case of shoot the messenger.houndawg wrote:

I don't think that matters. I think Olbermann is more interested in being outrageous than he is about being accurate. I still think that any response plays into his hands. Olbermann is probably thrilled that the Tea Party even knows that he exists.SeattleGriz wrote:Don't know if it hurts Olbermann either, it simply points out the fact he doesn't know what he is talking about in regards to the Tea Party movement. I didn't know either... until the Dallas Tea Party made their video.GeauxLions94 wrote:Keith Olbermann has a TV show???BlueHen86 wrote:Looks to me like Olbermann must really be getting under their skin. You do know the Tea Party Movement has been slapping Republicans as well? It is not an anti-Democratic movement, as much as it is that Americans are tired of being taxed without representation.mainejeff wrote:Tea Party..........![]()

Really? You had no say in who you sent to Washington? I find it hard to believe you have been disenfranchised.SeattleGriz wrote:You do know the Tea Party Movement has been slapping Republicans as well? I know that phrase was coined after the original Boston Tea Party, but it's statement ring true in this instance.

They did burn Olbermann on the piece but it probably does help him and help them as well. Olbermann does look douchey as hell though. His over dramatization about to shed a tear thing is so **** stupid.
Seriously? Olbermann looks quite the fool here (not that he really needed any help).BlueHen86 wrote:Looks to me like Olbermann must really be getting under their skin. I know they think they are getting back at him, but this plays right into Olbermann's hands.
When doesn't Olbermann look like a fool? You made my point. He doesn't need any help, so why would you dignify him with a response. It's like picking an argument with the Village Idiot.89Hen wrote:Seriously? Best response is "Keith Who?"BlueHen86 wrote:When doesn't Olbermann look like a fool? You made my point. He doesn't need any help, so why would you dignify him with a response. Hey, I'm all for anti-authority groups on all sides keeping after the guvmint. I was aiming my joke towards the fact that so many of the Tea Party folk look like they peruse People of Wal-Mart for fashion ideas. You gotta admit that they are some goofy looking weirdos. I saw a picture of one particularly goofy dude holding a sign that demanded, swear to god, that the guvmint not interfere with his Medicaid.
