Where are all you nancy boy liberals UNH, Dback, maneJeff, KYJelli etc when it comes to this subject? It would figure you would be running your mouths about guns, violence, and generally running down the USA on this topic among others.
Why no outrage and grandstanding?

If the US Gov't would just legalize all drugs, every one of these drug cartel members would have to resort to stocking shelves in grocery stores because there'd be no money in the drug trade anymore.
A magical transformation would occur with pixie dust and fairies, turning them all into God-fearing, productive members of society once agin.

Once again, the Montard Griz swings, and whiffs.
It is the RIGHT, the guys that bend you over and fuck you up the ass all the time that are so into the drug war.
What am I supposed to be outraged by? Drug cartel members killing each other? Inefficiencies in drug transport that is driving up the price of D1B's smack?
EPIC FAIL again, by AlphaFail.

The drug economy is too big to be acting capriciously; legalizing drugs would send shock waves through it and push all those dopers out of the black economy and onto welfare.

You sure you didn't mean push all black dopers on welfare?

Pretty obvious they're a subset.

When I say legalize, I also imply control. Certainly, I don't want balloons of smack sold at 7-Eleven.

Where WOULD you have balloons of smack sold?

You don't even have to go to Mexico. More than 4,000 are killed in the U.S. by criminal illegal aliens every year.

All currently illegal drugs would be dispensed at pharmacies.

Awww look at all the pacifist left leaning cowards run away from this!!!!!
Wont even address it just change the subject and make personal attacks.
You fu*kers scream like 12 year old girls when Bush started the "illegal war"

Oh the meaningless deaths, oh the humanity, now not a word about the truly senseless deaths that occur on our border every day. More people are killed there every year than any year of our losses in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Hypocrites.

Please clarify your debate point. You seem to be somehow trying to correlate a unilateral war in Iraq with the drug trade in Mexico. These are two entirely different subjects. One we had complete control over and one we have little control over, other than deciding to make an illicit trade item legal, thereby squashing the illegal trade. I'd be glad to enter the discussion more deeply if you'll let us know what your point is. You then throw in even more issues, such as illegal immigration. Please unmuddle your post, and then we can talk. You have a hodgepodge initial post that needs dissecting.

Not a fair comparison.
Your numbers for the drug war in Mexico include drug cartel, police, military, and innocent deaths...
The numbers you're using just include US military deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Not a fair comparison. One has tanks and planes and 500 lb lazer guided bombs. The other one has handguns and machine guns

Which part of this half-witted jabber contains something that might remotely be described as a "point"?

Come on guys...if we legalize drugs, Pfizer and the other big Pharmas will quickly send in Blackwater agents to control the Opium flow from Afghanistan and to spray liquid death from the sky on competing crops in South America ...wait...if we legalize drugs, the drug companies will refine the drugs to such a degree as to get most of the population hooked on their unnecessary products....wait....if we legalize drugs, the Democrats will claim that the costs of those drugs is too high and we will need to change our entire health care system in order to make sure everyone had access to drugs...wait...if we legalize drugs, we will see commercials that give a quick benefit of the drug followed by a long list of possible side effects including dementia, internal bleeding, blindness and death....wait...if we legalize drugs the big Phama companies will make more money and funnel some of that money to our politicians...wait...
...what's so different about legalizing drugs?
