Why does it bother Liberals to be called Liberals? "Progressive" is such a ridiculous, self-pontification notion.

What, you want to play semantics? How about this... I've never met a single person who didn't object to being called a Liberal. Conversely, I'm not sure I've ever met a person who was upset about being called a Conservative.

Why don't libertarians like being called conservative? After all libertarian is such a ridiculous, self-pontification notion. :D

It's not necessarily a bad thing. For example: I, for one, am ashamed of Republican spending of late. :ohno:

And although dawg feels no shame, there are lots of things for which he SHOULD feel shame. :kisswink:

There's no shame left to feel anymore, napkin, it got used up with our blood, money, credibility, and prestige, in Bush's Decade of Decline. :coffee:

Bush did not cause the twin Towers to collapse, dawg. It's amazing that we survived the event and following eight years as well as we did. It could have been a great deal worse!

:ohno: Nobody is blaming the poor dumb bastard for the Towers, norman; they're blaming him for fvcking up by the numbers in each and every step of his miserable, ill-conceived, incompetently executed, excuse for a response.

All the way from escorting bin Laden's relatives (Bush's business associates, btw) out of the US after the attack, to WMD, to Dead or Alive, to letting Osama get away at Tora Bora, to the looting of Baghdad, to the cover-up of Pat Tillman's death, to "going to war with the army you have", to insufficient body and vehicle armor............and on and on, ad nauseum.........yeah, buddy, you're right, it is amazing we survived leadership that piss poor, but it's hard to imagine how it could have been much worse, virtually none of the possible fcvkups went unused.

Boy, the term "liberal" has really taken on a whole new meaning since the age of John Locke et al. And I don't mean the dude in LOST, either. What a difference a few centuries make.

It's "toe that party line", Hen. The expression comes from prize fighting. I notice you don't disagree with "Dead or Alive", et al...........

And the Dems are testing that theory now, with the rutabaga we have in the office currently.

Your theory is failing. He's making GW look like a genius. :coffee:

"Toe the line" would be appropriate for a fighter, but "tow the line" seems perfectly appropriate for a lapdog.

Dawg.
